Thursday, 16th Feb 2023 (Week 1) The class started on Monday this very week but I was away in Melaka from Monday to Wednesday hence I did not attend class. This was my first class with Madam Nirmala and honestly I love it. The class is a little bit crowded since we were combined with our seniors but we had a really nice chemistry because we worked together during our last semester project where we organised an event together. Madam Nirmala is so friendly, direct, and systematic in her explaining. She started off by re-explain our scheme of work (SOW) for the whole semester as well as our assignments, and projects and also our grouping as well. She gave us tasks on what to learn about our Dokumen Standard Kurikulum dan Pentaksiran (DSKP) and Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Menengah (KSSM). These 2 things are essential in doing our lesson plan so that our teaching can be easier well-managed in class. Not only that, lesson plans are for other teacher to use as a reference in teaching especially in Teaching English Language. Her teaching method for today is studentcentred hence, she posted the questions in her Padlet account and asked us to divide ourselves in groups. Then, each group needs to answer 2 questions. I can’t wait to answer them next week!!

Monday, 20th Feb 2023 (Week 2) Most of the questions that she provides during lesson today are in my opinion, is common knowledge that an educator must know before going to any school. It is basic information that we are bound to use in the lesson plan and applying them in our class. She mentioned about the 21st century classroom and what it is. She mentioned about various learning modes and tools in teaching and learning so that we are provided with not one but many many creative and exciting ways to do activities in class while teaching the main 4 skills in language to the students. The newest information that I learn during this class is about the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). I learned that it is a framework to guide the commonweal countries in teaching language in a more standardized way. It is an international reference or as you can say guidelines in teaching only English language especially the 4 main skills in acquiring language which are listening, speaking, writing and reading. It has 3 levels of proficiency for beginners, intermediate and advanced. This framework is in relation to constructing KSSM and DSKP for English language in Malaysia.

Thursday, 23rd Feb 2023 (Week 2). Recap in the form of group competition in class count me in!!

The first part of our lesson plan was creating learning objectives. it is goal that we set up for our students and they must achieve it by the end of the lesson. It must be measurable, students will be able to do and provide values. there are 2 main ways into building the best learning objectives or learning outcomes in a lesson plan. for today we need to create a storyline based on the SMART method of creating learning objective statement Monday 27th Feb 2023 (Week 3) S. M. A. R. T. S = Specific- lesson, topic, and + skills. M = Measurable- actions, verbs, numbers, logic. A = Attainable- can be achieve, their age + proficiency. R = Relevant- not out of date. T = Time-based- fitted for the period of learning time provided. A. B. C. D. A = Audience- students age and language proficiency. M = Behavior- verb, what do you want to asses. C = Condition- Requirements, methods or memory based. D = Degree/Target- how much is considered as "passed"

Thursday 9th Mar 2023 (Week 4) The first part of a lesson is set induction. It is the first 5-7 minutes of class where we must grab our students' interests and focus towards our lesson. Attention getter is from the starting of a teacher entering the classroom and that is the crucial part as first impression matters. Madam made us volunteer and representing each group for just set induction and for the class to give feedbacks. I love the way she teach because when the feedbacks came from our colleagues it is more sincere in my opinion and we can improve. For all the years of hearing my mum's voice from the kitchen of her teaching the kids, it took a toll on me that first impression is important to form respect and attention from a student to a teacher. voice projection is also important, intonation and pauses. positive reinforcements for good deeds and behaviors and subtle 'ehem' for unwanted gestures and behaviors. all of that matters and thank you for the compliments. it boosts my confidence!!

Monday, 13th Mar 2023 (Week 5). O n l i n e c l a s s Online classes are the best and for today’s topic, maam highlighted that assessments are key indicators to test pupils’ understanding on your lesson. This will set the borderline on how effective your lessons, activities and knowledge delivery to the students. There’s me on the top right beside madam hehe..

Madam is unwell today ☹ get well soon maam!! The following Saturday we had our online test covering from topic 1, 2 and 3. All Multi-Choice Questions (MCQ) and there’s 50 of them. I need to study for the online test and practice my delivery more since microteaching is practical. Need an audience ASAP!! Thursday 16th Mar 2023 (Week 5)

Monday 20th Mar 2023 (Week 6) Project 1 presentations. Some with cool and interesting games and activities to present! Need to take examples of all the ideas for my upcoming practical! These are all the groups that presented on that day. Some made new and improved board games while others made large sizes of games that is suitable for students to indulge and learn at the same time. My group did not have the time to present today.

Thursday 23rd Mar 2023 (Week 6) The few last group for our project 1 presentation and all of it was a success!! Now i know why is there is such things called "Burnt out" teachers. they need to think a lot of stuff before, during and after knowledge delivering and lessons while teaching. At the same time being a step ahead as to can answer the student's curiosity about the subject. Maintain all the energy 24/7 everyday without a single failure. It made me realize about teacher's dedication. I am grateful that I have the best lecturers in my life to give me knowledge and morals. The 2 bottom pictures are proof for my group's project 1 presentation. We also had a recap on the type of teaching materials, their examples and how are we going to present them in class via google classroom.

Monday 27th Mar 2023 (Week 7) 1) https://youtu.be/PT68u_LYj18. 2) https://youtu.be/FTxqH0tukqQ 3) https://youtu.be/kQFkRI0rInU Madam attended a meeting before the class starts. She provides us with 3 different YouTube links and gave us an exercise regarding the videos. She instructed us to search for the teaching strategies that each teacher used, in each of the videos provided. Her main agenda is that for us to realize how important it is to gain student’s attention and keeping their attention on the lesson all the way from the start to the end. The main topic for to day was stimulus variations. Stimulus means the things that will maintain student’s concentration throughout your lessons. There are various ways in doing this but most importantly, our activities must be engaging enough for all of the students to participate whilst learning.

Thursday 30th Mar 2023 (Week 7) Our topic today is about stimulus variation. If we have the best materials for teaching in class it is still useless when one does not know how to use it affectively during a lesson. stimulus variation are a variety of ways from the teaching materials through the way we teach and display our content to our students. it is important to have variety teaching styles and be creative in providing your teaching materials to get rid of students boredom. curiosity is a powerful thing when it comes to learning. Sometimes, asking students after finishing class might give you a hint on student's interest and this will help you for the next lesson as well!

Monday, 3rd Apr 2023 (Week 8) Today, we take a look into questioning techniques to your students. we learn that one can expand the levels of question via the bloom's taxonomy on all aspects whether it is cognitive, psychomotor or affective domain. This, will be our key-point into developing questions from the lowest stage of development and increasing level each time. this will also regulates the students memory as they have to be alert at all times. 1) Open question: A question that is open for the students to suggest opinions, relations, likes or dislikes and usually there are no wrong answers. 2) Close question: A question that students respond discretely usually two answers only. for example; yes or No. There are 2 types of questions which are the opened question and the closed question.

To test our knowledge on our questioning technique, today madam made us conduct any talk-show but she will decide the target audiences. for example, the group above got to be mothers that are worried for their teenager sons/daughters and are sharing their own life, perspectives, dos and don'ts on how to cater a teenager as that is a fragile state as a baby bird gets the taste of their first freedom. and expanding our topic which is strategies to respond to students answers for our questions. there various techniques but the main 3 that I remember are probing, reinforcement and adjust. adjust here means that we can rephrase the questions so that it suits to the students understanding and of course our genuine response is the key to student's acknowledgement! Thursday 6th Apr 2023 (Week 8)

Monday, 10th Apr 2023 (Week 9). Mock-teaching evaluation 1 Today is the day that we asses the other group that we are assigned to for our first mockteaching that is set induction part only. the main categories are attention getters, topic and theme relevance, interest getting and learning outcome must be mentioned. here is the proof of our recorded assessment as a group. we had to create 2 meetings by ourselves as zoom is so cheap with the time!

Thursday 13th Apr 2023 (Week 9) We are working to finish off our ESL blog that is for our task B in project 1. finishing right off with just a few groups and this is our ESL blog look like. i used wix website creator since it is easier to manage in my opinion. interactive classroom is a part of 21st century classroom where we make activities or lessons via technology for students to indulge in.

Monday 17th Apr 2023 (Week 10) Madam was suppose to have replacement class online and evaluate the remaining groups for our ESL blog but she is a human being too and thus she is really tired and will evaluate our esl blogs during our raya break. poor madam have to layan our nosyness. hehe Happy Eid Mubarrak to you madam <3 Here are some of my raya pictures.

We are almost done with this semester and for today madam showed us a video of lists of teaching strategies that we can use in class. it is important to have various techniques so that our lesson will not bore our students. as of today, madam is teaching us about closure techniques in class to end our lesson for the day of course. it's not just a random question and answer. the answers must come from the students so that we will know how affective our teachings are. they need to answer correctly and clearly. closure should take up only 5-6minutes only. Monday 8th May 2023 (Week 11))

Thursday 11th May 2023 (Week 10) today, we evaluate the other groups that are assigned to us via zoom meeting. madam did not allowed us to share screen with her link because she has a meeting at that time. it's alright, we are smart. so my groupmates and are made another separate room with another separate device. we recorded and give the best marks and advices as we can. I love madam's class because each and every time I will anticipate on what is going to happen next. Im eager. and i love to learn. your my idol as a teacher in the near future. thank you madam.

today is the day to realize that my handwriting is a total mess. have to accept it. i must change. it's for the sake of being a teacher and use the whiteboard for most of the lesson delivery in class. I need to practice more. our letters must are at the same size, align, neat, big, and are easily read. today our activity are with groups to test each of our handwriting. needless to say i need a lot of improvement and i even recorded what madam said so that i wake up and remember it ahhahaaha! thank you madam!!
