Abstract

This report review is about UUM with a focus on all things UUM and my opinion about
UUM. In the introduction, me are divided into two parts, which are about me and UUM
from my perspective. About me is talk about my background and my duration of studies at
UUM, while for UUM, from my perspective, it is about something related to UUM based on
my view, like what I think about UUM or what I like about UUM. Next, theme/campus is
talking about my campus life, starting from my current online university until the last part is
about memories with friends. In conclusion, I will conclude my report by giving my hope of
what I will get from UUM. APA style formats are used in the references part. The last part is
the Appendix. The Appendix is all about the Gantt Chart for the timeline for assignment 1.

About me

myself. My name is Muhammad Halmey Perspective
Bin Maslazim. I am twenty-one years old.
I live in Pasir Gudang, Johor. My primary U UM is one of the best and

II. My expectations of campus life

My expectation of campus life is having a good roommate. It’s

III. Things I want to do when I am back on campus ( things to do, campus
activities, clubs, friends,etc)

THINGS TO DO& FRIENDS

The thing I really want to do when I am back on campus is travel or have a vacation
with my best friend. I would like to share my own experience with my best friend
from the last semester when we travelled together. Firstly, we went to Perlis, State of
Perlis, to find something interesting in that state. Our first destination in Perlis is Padang
Besar. At the Padang Besar, we bought football jerseys because it's the place that has
many jerseys at an affordable price. So I decided to buy Penang football jerseys because
it sounded very interesting. This figure (2) below will show the Penang Jerseys.

Penang jerseys are very comfortable to wear. Next we move to Kelam Cave at Kaki
Bukit, Perlis. According to attractions in Malaysia (2012), Kelam Cave is one of the
rare caves in Malaysia because it has a 370-metre long limestone pillar where it became
a special attraction compared to other caves in Malaysia. Kelam Cave has an extreme
path to enter the cave because the path is very wet, narrow and the cave wall is low and
high. So, we need to be very careful every time. Before entering the cave, we need to

wear safety helmet to protect our head from cave wall.

Based on Figure 3 above, we can see it is very difficult to enter the cave, especially for
someone with a height greater than 170 cm. Kelam Cave is one of the most beautiful
limestone caves in our country. In this cave, we can see the hematite on the cave wall.
Based on Geology.com,2022, hematite is one of the minerals on earth that is used to
make paint and that restores, strengthens, and regulates blood supply to the inner human
body.

Based on Figure 4 above, we can see the hematite is a very unique and beautiful stone
formed by a natural process. Kelam Cave also has its own story. During the British era,
Kelam Cave was used for mining purposes. We can see some relics on the cave wall
from miners from China and still on the cave wall in Figure 5 below.

Last is the journey to Perlis. It takes us around 14 minutes from Kelam Cave to Bukit
Chabang, Kangar, and Perlis. Bukit Chabang is one of the famous destinations when
coming to Perlis. Bukit Chabang is very unique because it looks like two hills are twins.
Figure 6 shows my photo from Bukit Chabang that I shared with my friends.

All of the above are beautiful memories of travelling with my friends at Perlis during the last
semester break that I share and explain. Next, I went hiking with my friends. I was hiking at
Bukit Bunga Raya, Sintok, Kedah. We woke up early at 7.am and started walking to Bukit
Bunga Raya from the campus to see the sunrise on the hills. It takes around 15 minutes to reach
the top of the hills. So, it really needs more energy and stamina to reach the peak of Bukit
Bunga Raya. However, all the tiredness and exhaustion were gone when me and my friends
saw the beautiful sunrise. Figure 7 below will show how beautiful the sunrise is at the peak of
Bukit Bunga Raya.

Thus, I really hope can do many things together with my friends at the future.

Campus activities and Club activities

Campus activities are more fun if they are run by volunteers because we can make
new friends. One of the physical activities that the university holds is "Majlis Iftar
Perdana". "Majlis Iftar Perdana" is the event where everyone breaks fast together. This
event is a great way to meet someone new. For the club activities, I joined the Islamic
Arts and Spiritual Club. The main goal of this club is to introduce Islam through arts
such as nasheed, calligraphy, or programmes related to Islam. In this club, I hold the
position of assistant of cultural exco. For this time, all programmes are being held on
an online platform. I became a doa reciter for some programmes. To be honest, it has
become a memorable experience for me to become a Doa reciter and I can also increase
my confidence level. The first ever programme I was involved in as a doa reciter at the
Chit-Chat Session: Preparing for Leadership programme. In this program, we are
talking about what we need to do as a leader and some tips to be a great leader. This
programme is very useful for building our leadership skills. Figure 8 below shows
details of this programme.

Next, the programme that I am involved in is How To Be: A Great Master Harmony. This
programme teaches us to do the correct paperwork for any programme and also teaches us to
handle any programme with calm.

Based on Figure 9 above the programme are giving merit for all participant.
The last programme that I am involved in is "Nak Jadi Usahawan Tapi Nawaitu ke Laut". This
programme is all about the ways to become an entrepreneur with what Islam teaches. This
programme is an online platform which includes Webex applications and Facebook Live. The
speaker of this programme is Dai Wan Dazrin, or known as Dai Wan, one of the contestants in
one reality television show, "Dai Pendakwah Milenia".

This programme is very interesting because we do collaboration with Makassar Islam
University, Indonesia. So, this has become one of the most valuable memories for me. I will
share our photo during that programme based on Figure 10 below.

IV. Memories and Friends

Memories and friends are two things that are inextricably linked, which means that one
cannot exist without the other two. In UUM, I found many friends and we created
memories together. I still remember when we went to Langkawi last semester to travel together.
Many interesting things to do, like island hoping, cable car rides, seeing sunset at Pantai
Cenang Beach and Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls. All of those things, maybe we'll feel them once in
our lives. I will cherish all my memories with my friends and keep them forever. Thus,
friendship is more important than other things.

Conclusion

In conclusion, this report talks about and discusses a little bit of information about UUM and
my own experience or perception of this university. In my opinion, it is the best place that
I have studied because UUM has all that I want in our lives, such as peace or a relaxing place.
So, it can make me more excited to finish my studies at UUM excellently. Thus, I really hope
I can become a successful person in the future and use all my knowledge that I got from UUM
in the right way.
