Hi all, Happy January! Hope you had a great month of December! This month
and the highlight of year our 2017 VBSN class graduated Dec. 16.
CONGRATULATIONS 2017 VBSN students, we are all so very proud of each
one you and wishing you the best moving forward. Sarah Innis and Ashley Forti
from the School of Pharmacy and I attended the Education Fair at Ft. Hood in
Killeen, TX Dec. 7. TTUHSC – President’s Veterans Advisory Board met Dec. 8
and three of our VBSN Alumni came to share their stories and journey through
the VBSN track. TTUHSC students, faculty, and staff provided 88 toys to the
U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots campaign this year, donations were
picked up in the President’s office Dec. 13. A special thank you to Sara Henly for
working with Toys for Tots to make TTUHSC Lubbock campus a donation
location. Also, on Dec. 16 Team RWB Lubbock laid wreaths on veteran
tombstones for the “Wreaths Across America” event at the Lubbock Cemetery.

This month the 2018 VBSN students will be testing Jan. 3-5 for the
Comprehensive Assessment Placement (CAP) courses. First day of classes and
semester 1 (spring) will begin Jan. 9.

Zoom

• This month I will hold Zoom office hours Friday January 19 starting at 2pm and ending
at 4pm (CT).

will help answer questions that you may not have thought of and will allow us all to
explore answers and options together. Zoom is currently what is used within the
TTUHSC SON as the main form of communication. So, this will also give you a head
start and familiarity.

• This month I ask that you RSVP to my email [email protected]. I will then
send you an email with the link to join.
