All inclusive playground becomes a reality
BY OUR CIVIC ROUNDSMAN
The vision of a wheelchair bound local boy for an all inclusive playground at River-
glade Reserve in the Hunter’s Hill Municipality is to become a reality.

Two years ago young Evander Conroy met with Lane Cove MP Anthony Roberts at
the Reserve and won his support for the initiative.

Through Mr Robert’s lobbying the state government has contributed $200,000 as part
of a $400,000 joint project with Hunter’s Hill Council to construct the playground which
will feature all-inclusive playground equipment, three extra car spaces for people liv-
ing with a disability and wheelchair accessible toilet facilities.

Mr Roberts was Planning Minister when approached by Evander and thanked him for
his vision and commitment to children of all backgrounds and abilities.

Riverglade Reserve is a pristine bushland site located near The Priory at the water-
front.

Three Cheers! Free Beers?

Genuine beer drinkers are looking forward to enjoying a real cold draught beer from their
favourite watering holes now with light at the end of the long dark lockdown tunnel.
