Have you tried the little sandwich shop off of Oslo and 20th Street in Southwest
Vero Beach. Chef and owner, Mike Wood is a native Vero Beach resident, but after
receiving  his  Culinary  Arts  degree  from  Johnson  &  Wales  in  Charleston,  South

Carolina, he decided to embarked on a 15­year journey working his way around the
country.    He  traveled  as  far  as  Alaska,  New  York,  and  even  down  to  the  Keys.    He
eventually  made  his  way  back  to  his  hometown  of  Vero  Beach  and  settled  in  and
opened the Wood N Spoon as we know it today just about 2 years ago. Read More.

Sat & Sun: Ribfest Under the Oaks

A  variety  of  delicious  BBQ  food,  live  bands,  beer  &  fun!   Come  taste  &  savor  a
selection  of  ribs  from  professional  ribber  vendors  ­  and  vote  for  who  has  the  best
ribs!   This  is  the  biggest  fundraiser  of  the  year  for  the  rotary  club  of  Vero  Beach!  All
net  proceeds  will  benefit  charities  in  Indian  River  County.   No  admission  or  parking

Reunion of Bob & Bob

It’s been 7 years since Bob Roth of Roth Interiors and Bob Stanley tossed their last
wine  bottle  off  the  deck  in  the  popular  show  Seller  to  Cellar,  which  aired  for  over  a
decade  on  WWCI  TV  10  in  Vero  Beach.  On  April  7th  at  7pm  at  the  Vero  Heritage
Center, they will come together once again for an evening of hand­selected specialty
wines from Varietals and More, in addition to vintage wines selected from both of the
Bob’s cellars and a wide array of delectable bites served up by Osceola Bistro. It’s a
reunion  that’s  sure  to  entertain!  Proceeds  from  the  event  will  benefit  Vero  Heritage

IRC Historical Society Needs Your Help

Here’s  the  problem  at  the  Hallstrom  Farmstead,  1723  Old  Dixie  Highway,  SW,
Vero  Beach.  In  July,  2000  Miss  Ruth  Hallstrom  willed  the  main  house  of  the
Hallstrom Farmstead to the Indian River County Historical Society (IRCHS), with the
purpose of preserving the house, its comprehensive collections, and stately grounds.
