and achieve excellence. What defines our ethos is the Springfield Way in which:

An inspiring
curriculum

A culture of high aspiration is the central premise of the Springfield Way, ensuring that children have a platform
in realising excellence. The vehicle for this is a broad and balanced curriculum in which children academically
flourish and emotionally thrive. The Springfield curriculum is designed to best support all children.

The Springfield Curriculum: Seven strands embody the curriculum and this ensures the
quality of education, which is underpinned by an unfaltering
commitment to inclusion.

• Mathematics: Teaching for Mastery

Our impressive facilities include extensive school grounds, which afford opportunities for outdoor
learning and a breadth of extra-curricular opportunities including: creative arts, sports, homework

school weeks help develop in our children a life-long love of learning.

We are fortunate to have our Woodland Garden, the allotment and the Wildlife Garden, which
enable children to learn in different environments.

Preparing children for the modern world is critical and in this pupils access our computer suite
during weekly IT lessons, working with desktops, Chromebooks and iPads to enhance their
learning.

Safeguarding

Springfield Primary School is committed to safeguarding and
promoting the welfare of children. All staff, parents and visitors
are expected to share in this commitment.
