Today we are extremely proud to be hosting the very fi rst Track Racing Team Tournament, bringing team racing back to the Grasstrack world. Today, here at the Bantasia Arena, we will see fi ve teams do battle from all corners of the country. We are grateful to our team managers for all of their hard work and dedication in forming their squads for this event. Managers have really embraced this opportunity, and we have all worked closely together for a number of months to bring the event to life here today. Along with our managers, I would like to thank the riders for supporting this event and for putting on a good show today. As always, there are several very important thank yous and recognitions that I would like to make. Our fantastic landowner and track curator Brian Lush and his family have, once again, been an imperative part of the team. Our track team members Brian Hatch, Lew Wharton, Lewis Wharton and Paul Nelson have also been an integral part of the lead up to the event. We thank you all for what you do. We are also fortunate to have some generous sponsors and partners who help to make sure that the club continues to grow. Our team of volunteers and helpers have also been out in force to turn the arena into a race venue, and continue to help today in various guises and roles. Finally, we must thank all of the supporters for coming along and supporting the event. So what do we expect from the meeting? Well, it is a completely new format, though it will no doubt jog some fond memories of the old ACU Inter Centre which used to form such a big part of the domestic racing season. So it is very diffi cult to predict the outcome. Many will be able to pick class winners, but the overall winning team must remain consistent across all fi ve classes. What I think makes this event really special is that whoever you have come to support today, you will have a vested interest in every single race today. 4 SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS All competitors who are under 18 years of age must inform the offi cial on the signing-on table. Practice is a minimum of 2 laps and it will be carried out in class order. Format 250cc/350cc/500cc/GT140 Solos & Right Hand Sidecars: All riders will compete over 3 point scoring legs. The points will then reset for the fi nals. The highest scoring team from the heats will go into their respective classes A fi nal. The 2nd & 3rd highest team will go into the B fi nal. The 4th and 5th highest scoring team will go into the C fi nal. Gate positions for the fi nals will be the highest scoring team from the heats picking fi rst in the fi nal. Winner of each classes B fi nal will go into the A fi nal. The highest scoring team of each fi nal will then score as below: Winner of the A fi nal: 5 points. Runner up of the A fi nal: 4 points. Runner up of the B fi nal: 3 points. Winner of the C fi nal: 2 points. Runner up of the C fi nal: 1 point. The points from each of the fi nals are added together, and the highest scoring team will be the event winner. Points System: Solos: 11, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Sidecars: 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Helmet Colours: Helmet colours to be worn at all times: Northern Knights - Blue, Southern Stags - Green, Eastern Eagles - Red, Midland Missiles - Yellow, Western Warriors - White, Extra Revengers - Purple Ties: Will be decided by count back (most wins, 2nds and 3rds etc in whole team), then when teams beat other teams, then last heat countback. In the fi nal the highest fi nishing position will win any tie-break. In the event of an overall tie after the fi nals, the team who has the most wins across the whole meeting, 2nds & 3rd will then win on countback. Races: It is the responsibility of each rider to ensure they are in the correct race. Finalists position on starting line to be decided by their qualifying position at the end of the legs. Heats 4 laps | Finals 4 laps Trophies to the top 3 in each class. Podium presentation taking place immediately after the last race, with top 3 to attend in race gear. Prize money paid out in the commentary box after the podium presentation.
