2021 Premium Book

Swine continued………………………………...

* NEW THIS YEAR *

Families will weigh in their pigs from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 26.
An official weigh in will NOT be conducted by the swine superintendents.

Exhibitors will declare weights utilizing a weigh card system.
Weigh cards will be available to pick up from the 4-H Office anytime on Monday, July 26th.
A scale will be available in the barn for exhibitors to weigh their pigs prior to completing the

weigh cards.
The weight listed on the weigh card will become that animal’s official declared weight to be used

for assignment for class and for weigh back purposes.
During the show, the top animals selected will be weighed by show officials in the show ring prior

to the judge’s official placings (weigh back).
A variance of 5% from the weigh card will be allowed. Any animal over the 5% will be moved

up into the next class.
All swine must be weighed/in place by 6:00 p.m. on Monday July 26th.
All weigh cards will be due to the 4-H Office by 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 26th.
A swine superintendent will be available in the barn to answer questions between

5:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
* For purebred animals, registration papers must be attached to the weigh cards.

If there are no papers, the animal will be shown in the crossbred class.

To ensure a smooth check in day at the state fair, please double check ear tags and ear notches.
They must match your weigh cards at county fair.
