Welcome

ADCO Contracting and Civil Engineering set up business in
early 2009 with a strong focus on clean room installation, fit-
out works and general contracting in the pharmaceutical
sector. Since then, we have become well established in the
pharmaceutical sector completing shutdowns, upgrades and
redevelopment works, and gained a reputation for quality
service and deliverability.

As well as an emphasis on pharmaceutical works, we also
undertake general contracting and commercial fit-out works,
and in the past, have provided project management services
for several clients. We are still a relatively young player in our
industry, but conduct ourselves as if we were a global leader.
Our clients value our dedication to innovation, safety,
sustainability and our responsiveness and devotion to
customer service.

Over the coming years, we will focus strongly on maintaining
our status as a quality specialist in the pharmaceutical sector,
whilst broadening and strengthening our client base. As well as
this, our goal is to innovate and develop in the construction

With a wealth of knowledge of state-of-the-art manufacturing, distribution and
administration facilities, a considerable amount of our work is in the pharmaceutical
sector. We fulfil requirements such as upgrades, clean-room installations, extensions,
decontamination works, specialist floor finishes and firewall systems for some of the
top pharma companies in Ireland, such as MSD, Takeda and Amgen, to name but a
few.

For the likes of Analytic Partners, Knight Frank and Belfius Bank we have fit out,
renovated, refurbished and extended numerous offices to suit a broad variety of
requirements and purposes. Works we’ve undertaken include fitting meeting and
comms rooms, directors’ and open plan offices, shower rooms and kitchens and
changing the structures of buildings, as well as full M&E installation.

Industrial projects have included food facilities, car showrooms and motor learning
centres, including demolitions and extensions, office fit-outs, car-lifts,
weatherproofing, and successfully working around sensitive products at risk of
contamination.

A number of our projects require entirely new constructions, and we are proud to
have numerous types in our repertoire. From car show rooms and food
manufacturing facilities, to carefully removing gable and load-bearing walls in
Victorian red brick buildings and opening up modern offices, we have the expertise
to construct, extend or reconfigure your project, so you know it will be a sound build

MSL MOTOR GROUP, POTTERY ROAD, DUN LAOGHAIRE

SCOPE: c

▪ Commenced work on the demolition and construction of the
existing showroom, complete with steel frame structure, glazed
curtain walling, new mezzanine floor and all associated M&E.

INNOVATIONS:

▪ Environmental sustainability is at the forefront of this project. We
will be crushing the demolished concrete for re-use to use as fill
under roadways to minimize our carbon footprint, as well as
incorporating a green roof system.

MONDELEZ EUROPE, COOLOCK, DUBLIN

SCOPE:

▪ Appointed PSCS to oversee the contrsuction of two three storey
over-roof towers within the existing footprint of two live
production buildings. This involved excavating over 250m3 of
material, using cranes to erect the steel frame and cladding, and
weatherproofing of the towers.

SUCCESSES:

▪ Working in a live and sensitive environment, we delivered this
project successfully and on time, much to the client’s satisfaction.
There was no disruption to Mondelez’s production activities.

from existing storage area to accommodate new shower
rooms and changing facilities.

SUCCESSES:

▪ Delivered to the client’s expectations and on time, we
innovated light fittings as access hatches to reduce the
quantity of ceiling access hatches.

▪ Refurbishment of Glanbia’s headquarters to provide open plan
office areas, including the demolition of loadbearing block walls,

coverings, suspended ceilings and complete redecoration of all
ground floor offices.

SUCCESSES:

▪ The offices were in use for the duration, so the work was phased
with many night shifts required. With a duration of 14 weeks
it was challenging and required maximum
attention to detail to ensure quality.

were no reportable accidents. The client’s objectives were met,
and the high standard of finish exceeded the

▪ Fit-out a large warehouse unit into Volkswagen’s National
Learning Centre, involving the demolition of some of the existing
offices to make way for a canteen, six state-of-the-art training
rooms, a mezzanine level to overlook the workshop floor, four
car lifts and three new training rooms.

SUCCESSES:

▪ The project was completed within a tight schedule of eleven-
weeks and within budget.

SCOPE:

▪ Upgrade of existing reception and canteen areas to facilitate
ClearStream’s staff of 230, as well as works to the conference room. All
demolition works took place during the first weekend as ClearStream
operates during two ten hour shifts, five days a week.

SUCCESSES:

▪ As work progressed it became clear that existing services were
inadequate. Changes and decisions were made throughout the contract
to further enhance the finishes.
