SOCCER Winter Futsal

We will be running a 2020-2021 Winter Futsal
Program starting in January 2021. The futsal
program is for any players interested, rec/travel,
seasoned/new. Individuals wanting to join will
be assigned to a team as well as be given a
shirt, and matching socks. Teams who register
as a whole team will provide their own uniform.
This is an opportunity to pass around and
compete during the winter days. We encourage
and attempt to accommodate players/teams
registering as a group. WYSC will form teams
U10 –U14 for our winter futsal program.

Out of an abundance of caution, and our limited
seating space, we will only be allowing one
spectator per player inside the gym during
Futsal games. Temperature checks will be
done for all players and, spectators & coaches
entering the gym.

Winter Academy Training

WYSC’s Academy Training Program is a travel-
readiness program for players participating in
the Under-8 or Under-10 division that show
enthusiasm and possess a genuine connection
to soccer. These ages are fundamentally
important in soccer development, this is where
essential building blocks are built and stood-up
in young athletes. The academy program targets
technical skills development for each player
as well as introducing the spatial-component
of the game. Blending these two disciplines
in age appropriate progressive drills provides
a foundation for young players to grow and
advance successfully.

Sessions will be held on Monday U8 5:15-6:15
and U10 6:30-7:30 starting in January. The
program will run 8 weeks and will include a
training shirt. Players will have the option of once
a week or twice a week training. Cost is $85 for
once a week training or $125 for twice a week
training. All training sessions will be coached by
our Director of Coaching Sergio Guzman.

Players who are interested in playing up should fill out a request form found on
our website. This needs to be approved before tryouts. While WYSC does not
recommend that players play up, the League’s leadership does recognize that there
may be a number of factors, including but not limited to, size, maturity, experience,
and exceptional skills that may warrant a child’s ability to play up. If you are having

WYSC is introducing Spring recreational volleyball! Teams will have an

BASKETBALL

The WYSC basketball program will register close to
600 players, ages 5 to High School. To provide playing
opportunities for all registered players, WYSC will need to
form close to 60 teams. Each team will need a volunteer
parent coach. Your child needs your help as a coach.
Please consider coaching your child’s team. To volunteer
as a coach, please go to our home page and click “Register
Online” and then select the “Basketball - Winter 2019 -
Coach’s Registration”.

WYSC’s 3on3-only
Basketball League

WYSC Will be hosting a 3v3 game-only Basketball Season.
We will have very limited Gym space and each division will
be limited to 12 teams only. Teams will be co-ed consist
of 4-6 players in the age divisions: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12/13. The
qualifications for the age of your children will be based on
how old they are as of January 1st 2021. The cost of the
program will be $95 for each individual registration and the
fee will include a WYSC shirt for each player with a printed
number on it.

If Coaches would like to bring a team, the cost of a team
registration is $500 per team and the team would be
responsible for bringing their own uniforms with numbers
printed on the back. Players will be required to turn in the
Hold Harmless Waiver signed by a parent and/or Guardian
before they will be allowed to step on the courts.

**Please note that we will fill teams based on when each
player registers. Once teams are full, all other registrants
will be placed on a waitlist**

CROSSE Spring 2020 Recreational Lacrosse –
Registration is now open! Come join the fun in
the Spring of 2021! WYSC will be hosting it’s
first ever recreational lacrosse tournament at
the Athey Fields on April 20th. Practices are
tentatively set to start the first week of March,
depending if the weather permits.

Quick Stix League

Introducing Quick Stix! Quick Stix is a fast-paced
indoor Lacrosse league that focuses on individual
skills and player development. Quick Stix is
played with 3 v 3 players.

Quick Stix creates playing opportunities for
players of all ages, genders and accelerates
advanced lacrosse training and focuses on
lacrosse core fundamentals.

WYSC will be inviting boys and girls from the
following age groups: 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th, middle
school, and high school age groups.

This program will be an 8 week indoor session
with games-only at our WYSC gym. Season will
start January 9th 2021- through the month of
February 28th.

The teams will be coed. You can bring your own
team which will have a maximum of 6 players.
The cost for this program is $400.00 if you bring
a team which breaks down to $66 for each player.
The only equipment players need is a stick. Soft
lacrosse balls are used for this fast and energetic
sport; so helmets and padding is not needed.
Just your running shoes!

For those players who are registering as
individuals; the cost of the program will be $80.00
which includes a WYSC shirt and socks. The
games will be played on Saturday and Sunday.

The season will officially start January 9th, 2021
and run through February. This will be a game-
only program on the weekends. We hope you
take this opportuity to play this coming winter
with WYSC.
