Direct Speech คอื คำพดู ท่ผี พู้ ดู พดู ออกมำโดยตรง
ประโยค Direct Speech ประกอบดว้ ย 2 สว่ น คอื สว่ นนำและสว่ น Direct
Ex. - He said to me, “I love you”

- Ann said, “I didn’t do my homework yesterday”
- He said to me และ Ann said เป็นสว่ นนำ

Ex - He said to me, “I love you” - เขำบอกกบั ฉนั ว่ำ “ฉนั รกั เธอ”

**ประโยค “I love you” และ “I didn’t do my homework yesterday.”

เป็นประโยค Direct Speech

Indirect Speech คือ กำรเอำคำพดู ท่ผี อู้ ่นื พดู แลว้ ไปเลำ่ ต่อใหค้ นอ่นื ฟัง

Ex. - He told me that he loved me. - เขำบอกกบั ฉนั ว่ำเขำรกั ฉัน

**He loved me เป็น Indirect Speech สงั เกตว่ำ

I เปล่ียนเป็น He

You เปลี่ยนเป็น Me

Love เปลี่ยนเป็น Loved

ดงั นนั้ กำรทำประโยค Direct ใหเ้ ป็น Indirect จะตอ้ งมกี ำรเปลย่ี นแปลงโครงสรำ้ งกำรเวลำและอ่นื ๆ

ในประโยคอยำ่ งแนน่ นอน ซ่งึ มผี ลมำจำกทงั้ สว่ นนำและสว่ นท่เี ป็น Direct ส่ิงท่จี ะตอ้ งเปลยี่ นแปลงเม่อื ทำ

ประโยค Direct เป็น Indirect คือ

1. เปลยี่ น Tense ใหถ้ กู ตอ้ ง

2. เปลี่ยนสรรพนำมบคุ คลใหเ้ หมำะสม

3. เปลย่ี นคำบ่งบอกเวลำหรือแสดงควำมใกลใ้ หเ้ ป็นคำแสดงควำมหำ่ งไกล

Direct และ Indirect Speech แบ่งออกเป็น 3 ชนิดดงั นี้

1. Indirect Statement - ชนิดประโยคท่เี ป็นบอกเสโดยท่วั ไป

2. Indirect Command - ชนดิ ประโยคท่เี ป็นคำส่งั หรือขอรอ้ ง

3. Indirect Question - ชนิดประโยคท่เี ป็นคำถำม
