patients and their families who have been indicted for importing cannabis oil. Rev.
Kang established Korea Medical Cannabis Organization for patients, their families and
medical professionals on 29 June 2017.

On September 4, 2017, Incheon Customs officially said they have asked the prosecutors to investigate 38 cases
imported from substitution for purchases or direct purchases of cannabis oil in the first half of 2017.
Prosecutors said they are investigating the people who imported cannabis oil for violation of ‘The Narcotic Drug
Management Act’ The organization reported to National Assembly and major media about the situation of
patients and their families. Therefore, in January 5, 2018, 11 members of the National Assembly suggest to
revise part of ‘The Narcotic Drug Management Act’
