New students have recently been asked to complete a survey about their Choose Success
transition to Peru State College. The survey asked them to assess their
academic skills, adjustment to living conditions, their expectations for Counseling Services
the year, and many more items. Students are able to obtain a detailed re- Financial Aid

Here are a few talking points for you when discussing this survey: Business Office

ness goes away as the semester progresses. But if your student tells Residence Life
you they regret coming to college or feel an obligation to be at home,
suggest they speak with one of the counselors in the CATS building 2018/2019 Payment

 If your student is struggling in class, he or she should speak with the
instructor as soon as possible. The instructor will be able to suggest Fall

Parent/Guest Access to MyPSC

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 is a federal law Contact Philip Rogers
that protects the privacy of student education records and prohibits
schools from releasing student education records without the consent of [email protected]
eligible students. All students enrolled in institutions of higher education,
regardless of age, own their FERPA rights.
At PSC, it has been our practice NOT to release any information
(whether it be via phone, email or in-person) to someone other than the
student, without a signed FERPA release form from the student. New,
current or former students can grant access to another person (parent,
guardian, significant other, etc.) by completing Parent/Guest Access or
by completing a FERPA release form.

The new Parent/Guest Access through MyPSC will give a parent/guest
access to a student’s information online and in-person for the purpose of
viewing a student’s financial aid information, grades, and/or paying a
bill. The new system gives you additional options for secure parent/guest
access. A student is able to invite a parent/guest to access their infor-
mation, the parent/guest gets prompted to set up their credentials for acti-
vation and the student is then able to set each parent/guest access options
accordingly. Students may wish to add, edit or delete parent/guest access
also; all Parent/Guest Access can be controlled in MyPSC.
