ARCHIMEDES Archimedes Archimedes of Syracuse, BC. He lived from 287-212 and was born in Sicily, Greek philosopher, mathematician, engineer physicist and astronomer. Arguably the greatest mathematician of all time, Archimedes played a crucial role in shaping this field, especially Geometry. His famous works include a simple method for finding the volume of the surfaces of the revolution, the use of indivisibles, and a very accurate approximation of the value of pi. He also designed an excellent system for expressing large numbers.
14 BLAISE PASCAL Blaise Pascal is a mathematician, philosopher and physicist born on June 19, 1623 in Clermont-Ferrand, France. His best known work is Thoughts. He built the first mechanical calculator (pascalin) of the 17th century. He published an article on conic sections using the methods of Gerard Desargues. Pascal is among the first few to allow practical use. He died on 19 August 1662 in Paris, France.
15 EUCLID The Greek mathematician Euclid is often called the Father of Geometry. He lived between 330-275 BC and was born in Alexandria, Egypt. His work called Elements consists of 13 books and is one of the greatest works on mathematics. He discovered the principles that are now called Euclidean geometry. To solve it, you must concentrate and at the same time use logical thinking. The difficulty of Sudoku depends on the number of cells initially filled and the methods that must be used to solve it. Playing Sudoku regularly improves memory, mental clarity and reduces the aging of brain cells. Three basic rules apply to all types of SUDOKU.
