A dog is a good pet. It is a domestic animal.
It has four feet, a tail, two eyes, two ears
and a body. It is of different colours
and types.
The house where a dog lives is called
a kennel. A dog eats different types of
food. It likes to eat meat. It also eats

biscuits, bread, rice, etc.
A dog is a useful animal. It guards our houses. When it sees
a stranger, it barks at him. Police use dogs to find criminals.
So keeping a pet dog is very useful.

02 Elephant

Comprehension

An elephant is the biggest living animal on land. It
is quite huge in size. Male elephants live alone
but female elephants live together in families.
The oldest female heads the family. When a
baby elephant is born, other females in the
family help raise it.
Elephants are usually black or grey in colour.
They have four legs, a long trunk and two white

tusks near their trunk. An elephant uses its trunk to
break off branches from trees and shrubs like a hand. It brings food
to its mouth with its trunk. They have two big ears and a short tail.
They eat leaves; twigs, flowers, grass, and other plants. They eat all
kinds of plants especially bananas. They are quite social, intelligent
and useful animals.

The ant is a very small insect. We find ants in

Background
Although the author was born in Okhaldhunga district,

Chisankhugadhi Rural Municipality Ward No. 06, Bhadaure, his early educa-
tion was at Shree Public Secondary School in Malangwa, the district head-
quarters of Sarlahi district. Similarly, he had completed I. Com. from Shree
Janajyoti Higher Secondary School of Lalbandi, Sarlahi and B.B.S. from
R.R.M. campus Janakpurdham.
His teaching journey started in 2058 B.S. from a private school in Malangwa,
the district headquarters of Sarlahi district. He had also established a private
educational institution called Shree Gurukul Academy in his own birthplace,
Bhadaure in 2062 B.S., but due to various reasons, the institution could not get
continuty from the end of 2065 B.S. afterwards a journey of about 7-8 years in
various printing and packaging companies in Saudi Arabia and United Arab
Emirates (UAE) from general clerk to managerial level, he returned to his
homeland and started a poultry farm in Bhadaure in 2072 B.S. He has also
established Shree Gurukul Academy Pvt. Ltd. in Siddhicharan Municipality
Ward No. 02, Thulachhap in 2074 B.S. Currently, he has been keeping himself
active as the ward chairperson of Chishankhugadhi Rural Municipality Ward
No. 06, Bhadaure.
Along with his teaching work, he has been giving continuity to the commer-
cial agriculture (Bhadaure Poultry Farm) and has been devoting himself
politically to various educational, social and humanitarian services.
