Birth Story
My mom and dad went to the hospital early so
they can prepare. Once they arrived at the
hospital at 5 PM, my dad waited with my
mom. Three hours later, I decided to come out
of my mother’s womb. My mom gave birth to
me at 8:52 PM on September 30, 2006 at a
hospital in Manila, Philippines. She said it was
a healthy delivery. Since my mom wanted my
first name to start with “L” and my middle
name to start with “ M”, she named me
Lherisse Mae Bunnao. She stayed at the
hospital for a day, because she just gave birth.
Once she got discharged, my mom and dad
brought me home.
Important Event 1:
Moving to America
Coming to America was an important part of my life.
Although I don’t remember much, my mom told me
that I was 3 when I came here. I cried most of the ride
to America, but my mom fed me 6 bottles of milk the
whole plane ride, so I wasn’t that noisy. My uncle or
grandpa picked us up from the tiring airplane ride.
Since we were new to America, my mom, my sister,
and I lived with my aunt so we can save money.
Important Event 2:
Disneyland
I went to Disneyland when I was 8. I went
with my family and my relatives. I didn’t
remember the ride to Disneyland, because I
was asleep. It was a 2 hour drive to
Disneyland. It took at least 30 minutes to find
parking. By the time we found parking, it was
already 10:00. I don’t remember where we
went, but I do remember that at the end of the
day, we rode one last rollercoaster, Splash
Mountain. It was my first roller coaster. We
drove home after riding the roller coaster. I
was exhausted so I went to sleep after arriving
home.
Important Event 3:
Road Trip
When I was 8 or 9, my family and I went
to my relative’s house in Arizona. We left
at 3 am and drove for at least 6 hours, but I
was asleep for most of the ride. We made
stops along the way to either get gas or for
the bathroom. We got there around 9, and
my dad was tired, so we let him sleep. I
hung out with my cousins, until it was
time to celebrate my cousin’s birthday
party. We spent the night at their house,
but the next night we drove back home.
