Professor Masahisa Nakamura graduated from Hokkaido
University, Japan (1968), and received his Ph.D. in Professor Dr Muhammad Syahril Badri Kusuma received his Bsc [email protected]

Urbana-Champaign, U.S.A. (1977), and taught at the University in Civil Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB),

ALAMI KAWA CLUB

KUALA SELANGOR, SELANGOR, MALAYSIA

Alami KAWA Club Alami Kawa is a river club for the riverine youth.
They are local kampung kids known as Youth Rangers, aged 10-15
years as part of their training to build soft skills. ‘Kawa’, the Japanese
word for river was chosen for the club name as suggested by the local
community to reflect the exemplary Japanese way of respecting nature
in their everyday lives. The Malay word ‘Alami’ can be defined as both
alam (environment) or alami (experience/feel/appreciate). The club is
based in Mukim Pasangan, one of the sub-district in Kuala Selangor
and is situated near to the downstream of Selangor River.
