BAREKSTEN BOTANICAL GIN
(BERGEN, NORWAY)
www.barekstenspirits.com Stig Bareksten, “The Mad Scientist”, began in the spirits industry in 1993
tending bar with a deep passion for pure flavors and creating cocktails.
Stig stuck with his passion all the way to founding his own distillery, Det
Norske Brenneri, in 2015. In a few short years since he has made it his
mission to bring Norwegian plants to life in spirit form. His vision has now
come to fruition. This is not just a labor of love. It is the product of a
perfectionist. Bareksten possesses 26 different botanicals, 19 of which are
local to Norway. The medley of flavors is meant to be an expression of
Norway’s plants and herbs through the medium of a London Dry Gin.
Starting in 2020, the base for the gin’s ethyl alcohol will be produced in
house - Stig deems a necessity.

LETHERBEE DISTILLERS
(ILLINOIS, USA)
Rewind to 2007: Brenton Engel is cooking moonshine in his basement.
Two years later, his bootlegged “Illinois Joy” would create a cult
following outside neighborhood bars and with restaurant cooks across
the city. Brenton soon starts bartending (shout out to Lula Cafe) and
working heavily with herbs and spices. Incorporating these botanicals
into the moonshine operation unlocked ideas for all-natural botanical
spirits made in a new way, from a new perspective - free from corporate
compromises.
With absolutely zero influence from outside investors or marketers,
Letherbee's level of authenticity is second to none.

CRABBIE'S 'YARDHEAD' SINGLE MALT
SCOTCH WHISKY
(LEITH-EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND)
www.crabbiewhisky.com John Crabbie was one of the biggest (and oldest) names in the scottish
whisky scene. One of the first to independently bottle whisky, Crabbie
was also key in developing the art of blending different batches to create
a superior whisky. The first Crabbie distillery remains in Edinburgh to this
day.
'Yardhead' comes from the name of the street on which John Crabbie first
distilled and matured whisky in Edinburgh. This is an homage to the
history of not just the company, but scottish whisky in general. This single
malt is meant to pass on that tradition to a new wave of whisky drinkers,
who care most about the story and terroir. The bottle represents that
notion. Laid back and unpretentious, it puts the liquid on display.

The spirits crafted from founder Seth Benhaim's efforts are simple, he
wanted them that way. There's no sugar added, no wild concoctions, only
quality ingredients sitting in the bottle. While traveling, Benhaim
stumbled upon the concept of infusing different liquors with basic
ingredients and quickly realized the spirits world was in grave need of
this product.
Seth embarked on a journey with the principles of purity, simplicity, and

crafts all their spirits. Spink produces Spike Vodka, Texas Pride Vodka,
Bexar Ridge Bourbon Whisky, and Pecan Ridge Whiskey.
Founded by Nick Spink in 2016, Spike Vodka was the first endeavor for
Spink Distilling. The name lends credence to what makes this spirit so
unique - it's the only vodka in the world that uses cactus as the base for
its fermentation. Handmade, microdistilled and definitely nontraditional,
Spike carries a depth to its flavor that many who try want to keep tasting,

SADLER'S 'PEAKY BLINDER' IRISH
WHISKEY (CORK COUNTY, IRELAND)
www.sadlersales.co.uk Nathaniel Sadler founded the pub, brewery, and distillery in 1861 in the
heart of England's industrial 'Black Country' - called this due to coal
mines and factories based there during the industrial revolution. His son,
Thomas, expanded the business, and now Chris runs it five generations
later.
'Peaky Blinder' refers to the famous gang that operated from Northern
England down to the heart of London's underworld. They are associated
with a time of robbery, violence, and political intrigue that holds a captive
audience to this day. Chris Sadler has associations with Arthur Kimber, a
direct descendant of the Peaky Blinders leader, Billy Kimber. This
whiskey is meant to carry the grittiness of that time period.

BOUVERY CHOCOLATE VODKA
(NEW YORK, USA)
Bouvery CV uses a gluten-free vodka, blended with cocoa, dairy and
natural flavors to create a rich dark chocolate boozey journey. From its
1999 inception in Notting Hill, London, Danny Bouvery's interest in
blending fine chocolate and vodka (regular occupants in his fridge) led
him to experiment and finally perfect his secret recipe in New York.
Danny continued to share this decadent creation with socialites, and fend
off celebrity New York chefs and bar owners wanting the recipe. The
development of the chocolate liqueur had improved enough to convince
Danny it was time to partner with a distillery, the final piece of the puzzle.
The rest is history in the making.
Distillation takes place at Westford Hill Distillers, owned by the Chatey

www.vka.it VKA ORGANIC TUSCAN VODKA
(TUSCANY, ITALY)
In Mugello, the North of Tuscany, a group of entrepreneurs, Futa s.r.l.,
made the decision to found the very first organic Tuscan vodka. VKA set
out with a mission of purity, prestige, and terroir based taste under the
philanthropic aim of giving back the same care to the Earth that it gives to
us. The brand centers around this prime and simple idea. It makes sure
every single process, from growing to cultivating all the way to the final
bottling, follows the tenets of organic farming and production.
Futa s.r.l. is at heart a Tuscan business. The entire production chain
centers around the community, and thus the final product is truly an
encapsulation of the region.
The estate is based in the Appenine hills of Mugello, where springs of
crystal clear water quench stretches of gold wheat. That very same
spring water is used in the distillation process, ensuring that every part of
the vodka is total organic Tuscan.
Blend: 100% Tuscan Organic Wheat

www.hyerum.com HYE RUM (TEXAS, USA)
In 2011, a chance meeting with James Davidson and Benjamin Calais at a
pot luck dinner club sparked a conversation between the two of them
about the art of distilling.
Ben and James began to meet regularly at the dinner club often
discussing French rums, the early beginning concept of HYE Rum. James
spent the next 6 years immersed in rums. He searched for the best rums
available in the US, France and the Caribbean – the best bits carving out
and teaching him about the style he wanted to produce. After 3 years of
operating at the distillery in Hye, James perfected three formulas that
were a composition of the methodology and terroir he studied so
passionately.
The rums are crafted using non-GMO molasses and aged in French oak,
which is crucial to keeping the spirits intact. The Jamaican-Inspired
process involves double-distillation in a copper pot still over open flame.
The end result carries maximum flavor, body, and texture.

CALVADOS MORIN SELECTION NV
(NORMANDY, FRANCE)
www.calvadosmorin.com The history of Calvados Morin began in 1889 in La Haye de Calleville in
the Risle Valley. Pierre Morin succeeded his father and transferred his
small family business to Ivry la Bataille, a small town in Normandy’s Eure
Valley in 1945. He established Calvados Morin in the former facilities of
the famed Thélème Distillery with its unique aging facilities and large
underground cellars. These cellars allow for storage of several hundred
small oak barrels. Dug into the chalky hills of the Eure Valley, the long
galleries go deep into the cliff. The extremely humid atmosphere is
perfect for aging Calvados, allowing the alcohol content to diminish
naturally & create a remarkably smooth brandy. Calvados Morin was one
of the first to export to the United States.
Blend: Premium mix of bitter, bitter-sweet, tangy and sweet Normandy
apples.
Aging: Stored in limousin oak barrels to allow the Calvados to gradually
lose its "fire" in the wood. Left for 2-3 years.

CAFFO
(SICILIA/CALABRIA/FRIULI-VENEZIA)
Established in 1915 by Guiseepe Caffo, the fabric of the Caffo group
stretches throughout the Italian Spirits industry. Guiseppe's focus was
originally on the more prominent spirits of the time, but his love and
passion were directed towards ancient Italian liquers and their recipes. He
poured meticulous research, experimentation, and soul into reworking
and driving these recipes. Guiseppe's dreams were ultimately realized as
gourmets and refined customers swiftly lauded his herb-infused liqueurs.
His legacy was carried on by Sebastiano Caffo, who transformed the Caffo
Group into a respected and heralded powerhouse in the spirits industry.
His efforts expanded the business throughout the world. His grandson of

(VENETO, ITALY)
The first of the family's vineyards in Veneto were started in 1962 - The
passion and love for vine and wine comes from father and founder,
Valentino, who used to follow his grandfather, since he was a child, in the
vineyards and in the cellar.
Passion, research, dedication and respect for traditions are the main
values that have been guiding his philosophy since he created his own
cellar. Part of this research was composed of ancient monastic liqueur
recipes that Valentino seized with boundless reverence and enthusiasm.
He and the family strove to create an elixir based on premium wine.
Through extensive, meticulous, and exhaustive experimenting and
tinkering, he finally found a perfectly balanced recipe. Agricanto stands
between the strength of Raboso wine, the delicate scent and taste of ripe
cherries, and the intense aroma of gorgeous spices.

CONTRATTO (PIEMONTE)
The oldest producer of sparkling wine in Italy, Contratto's story is
intertwined with the history of Italian winemaking and distilling. Guiseppe
Contratto founded his winery in 1867 and quickly built both the reputation
and quality required to be recognized as a world-class producer,
becoming the personal supplier to the Vatican and the Italian Royal
Family by the turn of the century. Just before this illustrious
accomplishment, Contratto stumbled into a role as one of the first
producers of Vermouth. Originally, his recipe was meant to cover the taste
of oxidized wines, a trend at the time to avoid the waste of the precious
juice. However, Guiseppe nimbly realized the delicious potential behind
the herbs and spices, working his way to the forefront of the Italian spirits
www.contratto.it industry. After World War II, the popularity of vermouth and fernet
diminished and production ceased. Recipes were resurrected 60 years
later when Georgio Rivetti and his family acquired Contratto in 2011,
reinstating production of spirits using the original recipes from the 1930's.

ABOUT SERENDIPITY WINES
Serendipity Wines, LLC was founded in 2002 by Keith Kuhn. His taste for fine wines was developed
while working at a range of Michelin star restaurants. He established Serendipity's focus by selecting
terroir-driven, food-focused wines. The company, launched from a mini-storage unit and a VW
hatchback, grew rapidly, attracting the attention of brother Troy Kuhn who helped expand sales from
$130k in 2004 to $4.5M in 2009. At this point, the company's growth out-paced the family's resources.
A search for a committed long-term capital partner yielded an investment and partnership with
Turning Point Venture, headed by Seth Fagelman. Seth came on board first as an investor and soon
found himself in a full-time role as President. The company grew organically by investing in people,
brands, marketing, and processes, attracting the portfolios of several other distributors - most
recently expanding Serendipity into the California market. The company continues to grow under our
new partnerships from $4.5M in 2009 to a projected $40M in 2020.
With this level of growth came the opportunity for horizontal expansion into other types of alcohol,
namely spirits. Our selection is based on the same principles by which we choose our wine - terroir
driven, personable and artisanal. Our selection continues to grow into several different categories, but
all carry the overlying necessity for quality.
