2017 Review
EAGLE Football
The 2017 season was an exciting season for the Lake Ridge Eagles
as they finished with a State Quarterfinal appearance, a12-2 record
and an undefeated District 10-5A championship. Although the
season ended with a 37-35 loss to State Champion Highland Park in
the State Quarterfinals, the 2017 season marked the fourth straight
playoff appearance for the Eagles.
The seniors left Lake Ridge with an overall four-year record of 43-
13, a district record of 22-6 and a playoff record of 12-4. At the
first six weeks grading period the team posted the highest passing
percentage in program history (94.5%), and at the end of the season
38 players earned Academic All-District honors while 7 were placed
on the Academic All-State team.
To give back to the community, the team visited Mission Arlington
to help move and distribute bicycles for Christmas and later teamed
with the City of Mansfield to paint and makeover the home of a
retired Mansfield ISD coach. It was a great year for the entire
program of Lake Ridge football.
