HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT PROCESS
i) Identify and explain how the company arranges their employment planning,
recruitment and selection and downsizing.
By matching the right people with the right expertise at the right time, ensures adequate
staffing to meet the organization's organizational objectives. This is due to the importance of
planning in a company. Furthermore, hiring is one of the components in a company that helps
with the employment process. It starts with a review of current personnel to see if they meet
the organization's needs, and then moves on to predicting future staffing needs based on
business goals. After that, you will need to match the company's strategy with workforce
preparation and create a strategy for not just hiring new employees, but also keeping them
and training them better. It is important to understand the skills you already have. Make a list
of the abilities that each of the existing workers possesses. Begin searching for applicants that
have the experience the company needs during the recruitment stage of the talent acquisition
process. Posting job openings on job boards, searching social media sites like LinkedIn for
interested applicants, and asking current employees to recommend people who would be a
good fit are all examples of this move. Employee selection would almost certainly ensure that
the business operates at a high degree of efficiency. Conduct interviews and ability tests to
identify the right match for your company after you have established a pool of eligible
applicants. If you've correctly forecasted supply and demand, you should have no trouble
finding the right applicants for the right jobs. It would not be easy for an organization to
downsize its workforce and if the process is not done properly, the company will suffer a
significant disruption and lose jobs. To begin, calm fears by setting new objectives and
responsibilities. For example, the organization must communicate how their employees' roles
will change in the future. Second, concentrate on the important things, such as setting targets
for the staff to keep them on track. Allow team members to understand the priorities and
whether they are being met, as well as to discuss what is being evaluated on a regular basis
and receive real-time feedback. This will ensure that everyone on the team is on the same
page and concentrating on the most important tasks.
ii) What are the difficulties they have to face for the year 2020 due to pandemic COVID
19.
-The demand of this company decreases due to pandemic covid -19 because many of their
clients do not want to purchase their product. We all know that in this pandemic people who
have business is affected so they cannot take it normally. They need to know their budget and
the limit of expenditure before do something or else, they will bankrupt in future. Other than
that, many businesses have bankrupts due this pandemic, so their workers have been
terminated to decrease expenses.
1) Transmission channels
There are few ways how Covid19 pandemic affects the economy on both supply and
demand side. On the supply side, this company experience a reduction in the supply
of labour, as workers are sick or need to look after child and movements of people are
restricted. Measures to contain the disease by lockdowns and quarantines lead to
further and more severe drops in capacity consumption. Moreover, supply chains are
interrupted leading to shortages of parts and intermediate goods. On the demand side,
a dramatic and sudden loss of demand and revenue for this company severely affects
their capability to function and causes severe liquidity shortages. Furthermore,
consumers experience loss of income, fear of contagion and heightened uncertainty,
which in turn reduces spending and consumption. These effects are compounded
because workers are laid off and firms are not able to pay salaries. The impact of the
virus could have potential spill-overs into financial markets, with further reduced
confidence and a reduction of credit.
2) Service has to shutdown
The difficulties they must face for the year 2020 due to pandemic COVID-19 is they
had to temporarily shut down the ongoing service for several months when
instructions were issued by the government. During the movement control
government took place in the first phase the people were not allowed to cross the state
or go out without any important business and only one person from one family can go
out to buy something. Not only that, during this pandemic, the management in cannot
pay the salary to employees like usual because they are also unable to get profit and
income through this business during the pandemic. They also cannot pay the loan
from banks, bills and others.
iii) What is the action taken by the management to overcome their problems.
The action taken by the management to overcome their problems is to do the promotion after
the government says that company can run their business like usual. They can operate like
usual to gain money. They sell their item in wholesale with a discount to supermarket and
grocery store. Next, because the manager cannot pay the salary as usual, the management in
this company decided to overcome this problem by reducing salary or no overtime to
employees because of this pandemic and some employees dismissed the work.
C) Recommendations
1.Define the Present as well as the Future.
Using tools and resources such as the ones mentioned below, you can gain a better understanding
of your company's current success and future prospects. A SWOT review identifies the
company's vulnerabilities and assets, as well as risks and opportunities. Benchmarking compares
the company's success to that of similar companies. Market research and pattern analysis aim at a
broad range of topics.
2. Select a Few Well-Defined Objectives
A company with more than five major goals will typically be unable to devote sufficient
resources to any one of them in order to achieve success. Choose only three to five goals to
improve the efficiency of your company. Make your goals specific, measurable, achievable,
relevant for your business, and time-bound. Finally, prioritize them because it is more efficient.
3. Make a Strategy
To get closer to your objectives, you'll need to make a plan that includes the following elements.
To begin, make a detailed list of the actions and tasks that must be completed. Next, assign a
time limit to each, as well as start and end dates. Then, make a list of who is responsible for
completing each task. Make a list of all the people, supplies, and other resources you'll need, as
well as the expenditure. Finally, define each task's desired outcome and how it will be measured.
4. Put the Right People in the Right Positions
Your success will be determined by having the best people in place for each task. You'll also
need to create a culture that encourages people to collaborate and supports the types of people
the plan requires. Your HR department should hire people who are a good fit for your culture
from the start, in addition to getting to know your employees well enough to assign them to the
best tasks. You should also hire people who are eager to be mentored; if they're willing to be
coached to improve their own performance, they'll be better able to improve the company's
overall performance.
5. Keep track of your activities and outcomes.
Finally, using the measurement criteria you defined in the create a plan step, you'll need to track
the progress and outcomes of tasks. Some simple tasks can simply be marked as completed or
incomplete. However, major objectives will be measured in terms of numbers, such as a profit
increase as a percentage. Setting milestones along the way can also help you be more productive.
Each goal that allows employees to keep track on how well the plan is coming along. With this
concrete feedback, you can look for ways to improve the efficiency with which the company
converts resources into outputs.
D) Conclusion
As a result of our study, we have learned a lot more about the business. For example,
we learn about the company's organizations, their goals and objectives, the challenges they
have faced, and many more. We learn about the different types of businesses they run. We
also have the opportunity to gain new knowledge about the business. So, we will be able to
apply it to our own experiences.
Other than that, we will put this experience to use in the future. We will learn about
the company's management style and how they organize their employment. We also
understand how they faced their adversity, especially during the pandemic. Besides, we learn
and develop our teamwork skills during this task. When working on this project, we
discussed our thoughts and ideas.
We have split the work and are helping each other in completing this assignment. This
assignment also allows us to learn a lot of new knowledge. Even though we only did this
online, it did not make us give up to complete our assignment but we have done this
assignment together through the online meeting.
