THE MESSENGER

NEWSLETTER FOR GRADES IV TO VIII

(OCTOBER 2020)

‘Literacy in itself is no education. Literacy is not the end
of the Education not even the beginning. By Education, I
mean an all-round drawing out of the best in child and man
in Body, Mind and Spirit.’

– Mahatma Gandhi

Dear Parents,

The month of October not only fondly remembers the Father of the Nation, Mohan Das Karam Chand
Gandhi on his birth anniversary but also the nations across the globe mark 2nd October as ‘International
Day of Non-Violence.’ As the world is cruising through the challenges posed by the pandemic, Gandhi
Ji’s teachings become more relevant and important. Truth, Respect, Tolerance and Non-Violence are
the core values of the Gandhian Philosophy and Lotus Valley International School, Gurugram always
believes in fostering these values.

With the revolution in scientific and technological landscape, the future requires better skilled,
resourceful and rounded professionals. The recently announced New Education Policy envisages
