are interpreted as acceptable. On the other hand, the
literature teacher respondents rated the instructional
material with an overall weighted mean of 3.8, 4.25, 4.15,
3.75, 3.75, and 3.8 in terms of Accuracy, Consistency,
Reliability, Completeness, Usability, and Clarity,
respectively which are interpreted also as acceptable.

3. There is no significant difference in the
evaluation of the two groups of respondents on the
developed instructional material using audiobook in
Teaching of Literature due to the results yielded from the
t-test. In terms of accuracy, the computed t value of 2.64
is less than the tabular t value of 3.182 at 0.05 level of
significance which led to the acceptance of null
hypothesis. In of consistency, the computed t value of 0.97
is less than the tabular t value of 3.182 at 0.05 level of
significance which led to the acceptance of null
hypothesis. In terms of reliability, the computed t value
of 0.33 is less than the tabular t value of 3.182 at 0.05
level of significance which led to the acceptance of null
hypothesis. In terms of completeness, the computed t value
of 1.29 is less than the tabular t value of 3.182 at 0.05
level of significance which led to the significance of null

hypothesis. In terms of usability, the computed t value of
1.32 is less than the tabular t value of 3.182 at 0.05
level of significance which led to the acceptance of null
hypothesis. In terms of clarity, the computed t value of
2.75 is less than the tabular t value of 3.182 at 0.05
level of significance which led to the acceptance of null
hypothesis.

4. Most of the comments fell under the following:
Wrong choice of selection, for there were grammatical
errors in the selection which lessen the credibility of the
story and the appropriateness to the target year level;
Alignment of the objectives, for there were activities
which weren’t achieved and congruent as evident in the
lesson; Lack of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), most
of the objectives and questions in the activity part do not
promote the HOTS and only focused on the lower level which
is the Knowledge; and Lack of emotion in narration, the
expression of the voice affects the imagination of the
listeners. With these comments, the evaluators therefore
suggested to further improve the developed material with
regards to the good choice of selection, parallelism of the
activities to the objectives, observing Higher Order

Thinking Skills (HOTS) in questioning, and the tone color
of the narrator. They also added to assure the availability
of the speech laboratory where the audiobook will be
utilized.
Conclusions

Based on the findings of the study, the following
conclusions are:

1. The developed instructional material using
audiobook is suitable for the Bachelor of Technical Teacher
Education Second Year English Majors, academic year 2014 –
2015.

2. The developed instructional material were rated
as acceptable by the two group of respondents which are the
General Education Language Teachers and Literature
Teachers.
Recommendations

Based on the findings and conclusions, it is
recommended that:

1. The school should provide sufficient
technological devices and facilities needed for the
implementation of the audiobook (e.g. speech laboratories
and rooms with loud speakers) that can be used anytime.

2. The developed instructional material should be
evaluated by a larger group to determine if the developed
material is also acceptable to them.

3. The developed instructional material should be
reproduced and tried out to the Bachelor of Technical
Teacher Education Second Year English Majors to determine
the effectivity.

4. A similar study should be conducted and expounded
on the development and evaluation of instructional
materials using audiobook in Teaching of Literature.
