Welcome to the junior activities newsletter for Better Swindon: Link Centre, Oasis Leisure Centre, Croft
Sports Centre, Health Hydro, Dorcan Recreation Complex, Haydon Centre & Gym and Delta Tennis Centre.

NEW SWIMMING POOL CHANGING ROOMS – LINK CANCER RESEARCH FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES

Throughout October half-term, Better Swindon staff and
customers took part in fundraising activities around our centres.

Fundraising activities included bake sales, name the cuddly
panda, how many sweets in a jar, cycle from Cardiff to
Greenwich (150 miles), tea and coffee morning, tombola,
face painting, cancer sucks lollipop game, balloon models,
biscuit making, bouncy castle and trampoline sessions and
colouring competitions.

With your help, we raised £1,500 for Cancer Research UK.

The Link Centre have recently upgraded and improved their
swimming pool changing rooms, including a new vanity area.
Come along for a swim with your little one and check them out!

SWINDON SWIM SCHOOL

Better Swindon centres are currently teaching around 2,900
children and adults to swim at the Link Centre, Oasis Leisure
Centre, Health Hydro and Dorcan Recreation Complex. We
provide swimming lessons for all ages and abilities, seven
days a week, for 50 weeks of the year (with a two-week break
at Christmas).

We cater for all ages and abilities, including adult and toddler
(0–5 years), preschool lessons (3–5 years), stage 1 to stage
10 (5 years plus), teenager lessons (10–16 years) and adult
lessons (16 years plus).

Becoming a Swim School member also entitles you to free
casual swimming at all Better Swindon centres.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY WINTER WATER SAFETY SCHOOLS ROADSHOW

LESSONS AND COURSES CHRISTMAS BREAK 2019 During the week commencing 11th November 2019.
All lessons and courses break over the Christmas and New Better Swindon staff embarked on a Winter Water Safety
Year period for two weeks. The two-week break will start Schools Roadshow.
Saturday 21st December 2019 and end Friday 3rd January
2020. Lessons resume on Saturday 4th January 2020. Nearly 1,000 children from East Wichel Primary, Ridgeway

ICE RINK – LINK CENTRE
