Message FROM THE GOVERNOR My warmest greetings to the officers and members of the Provincial Federation of Child Development Workers of Pangasinan (PFCDWP), Inc., on the occasion of your 9th Provincial Convention for Child Development Workers, held on June 18-20, 2024. Every child is a gift from God. A child is primarily influenced by their parents and partly shaped by their teachers and the environment. Hence, parents and teachers play pivotal roles in child development, and the same goes for you, as child development workers. Attending to the basic needs of children and supervising them are among your essential roles. Thus, you are expected to respond to the needs of the children with the utmost care and dedication. I doff my hat and congratulate all of you for doing an excellent job in providing for the needs of the toddlers and for treating them as your own. May this occasion serve as a venue where you can share your ideas and plan your future goals toward establishing relevant activities for your sector. Furthermore, I encourage you to work even harder to provide the necessary social, emotional, physical, and educational assistance to the children under your care. Let me end with this quote: “If children live with praise, they learn to appreciate. If children live with acceptance, they learn to love. If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves.” Congratulations and kudos to all of you! HON. RAMON V. GUICO III, DPM Governor Province of Pangasinan
