If you are out and about on 2 wheels, make sure you stay hydrated and start hydrating the day before you getting out to ride. We had a good time and a large turnout at Cycle Gear. If you weren't able to come, you missed the antics of the water balloon fight. There is still a need for help for Too Broke For Sturgis, so if you have a desire to help out, please sign up to do so. The sign up can be found in the Wednesday Warning. Also for your calendar, New Mexico CMA is looking for volunteers to help in Ruidoso, New Mexico, event September 19-24. WEDNESDAY WARNING 08 As you all are aware, Too Broke For Sturgis is happening and WE as CMA have been asked once again to lend a hand. We have been asked to do the Traffic Control, which we are happy to do. With our state wide representation of 417 active CMAr's filling these 14 slots (28 people) should not be difficult at all. We will be working 2 hour shifts. If you choose to work 4, 2 hour shifts (total of 8 hours) you will get in for free. This entry requirement is set by ABATE for all volunteers (Abate, CMA, ETC...) at this event. WHAT'S HAPPENING? 09 GOLDEN ASPEN RALLY RUIDOSO, NM WEDNESDAY WARNING New Mexico CMA is looking for volunteers to help in Ruidoso, New Mexico, event September 19-24. If you have never been to this event, it is one to try to attend. Just a 6 hour drive from Tucson, this rally is one that a former member of our chapter, Patricia Boyer, (now with Jesus) attended every single year, because she just loved it so much! WHAT'S HAPPENING? 10 WHAT'S HAPPENING CAMPING!!! WEDNESDAY WARNING We had so much fun on our camping trip last month, that we are planning another one! If you have ideas on a great location, with pine trees, electricity and showers, please contact Liz @ [email protected] or Jennifer @ [email protected] We are looking for possibly Labor Day weekend, but space is becoming very limited so we may have to move it into September by a couple of weeks. Your chapter officers need your help! We are looking for someone who is available and willing to organize and collect prizes for our upcoming Scrabble Run and other RFS events that we put on. Prizes should appeal to bikers and their families and be such that they encourage participation in our event. We can work out all the details, but without prizes, no one will sign up. Please contact one of the chapter officers if you feel this is an area you feel God has called you to do! NOTE: Most places ask for a letter about RFS and who we are. WE are working to get that completed along with a flyer of our event. We should have it ready by the next chapter meeting. HELP WANTED!!!
