URA MAKU (20)

URA MAKU (20)

DESIGN PROCESS 38.

Once the design is traced on paper, artisan makes the hole with the needle then some carosin and a colored powder is been mixed together to make the paste like consistency, Then the khaka has been placed on the fabric to trace the motif, then the embroidery is done on the trace fabric. EMBORIDERY PROCESS 41. Khaka is a tracing paper used in embroidery. It is used to trace the design onto the fabric before embroidering it. The motifs are marked on the fabric with a marking mixer (liquid) for embroidery work. Now set the marked fabric very tight from all directions. KHAKA

Place the onion skins into a saucepan or pot and cover with water generously. Bring to the boil and simmer for approximately 30-45 minutes. 01 03 02 04 Scour the fabric by hand on a cold rinse cycle; don’t add any detergent, fabric softener. Once you’re happy with the dye color and strength, remove the pot from the heat and strain it into the pot. Add the fabric to the dye bath, ensuring it is still damp from the scouring process (this will assist the dye to spread evenly). When you’re happy with the fabric color, remove it from the dye bath and add it to the washing machine for a quick spin cycle. Hang the fabric on a washing line or drying rack; avoiding direct sunlight NATURAL DYE PROCESS

Take a piece of fabric slightly larger than the size of your button and make the embroidery. 01 03 02 04 Position the embroidered fabric on top of the button, making sure the design is centered and place it in opposite direction. Now, place the back of the button. and press the liver covering the hole button. Relies the liver, cut any extra fabric or any thread are loose. EMBORIDERY BUTTON PROCESS
