“Our Earth is 4.5 billion years old, and we will each live on it for a very short time relative to its existence before we then will begone. Some of us only get a few days, but on average, a human lives 78 years in the U.S. (if they're lucky). That's 78 years that we're here out of 4.5 billion years. Truly just a speck of time … The good news is we don't have measure the meaning of our lives in years. For it is the impact we have during our years that matters. And as such, we should ask ourselves: Not knowing how many days I have left, what am I doing with the same? What am I doing with each priceless day I have been given? What am I doingwith my Today? If on my deathbed I will be allowed to look back on the way I spent my time here, will I be proud of how I lived my life? Will I be satisfied that I gave my all to help causes greater than myself? How much suffering did I help to end? How much Love did I give? How many people did I serve and how many animals did I save? Tomorrow isn't promised to any of us, my Friends. Tragedy doesn't knock and death rarely announces its coming. So don't wait to be kind and just and caring and good. The world needs you to be so now.” ~ via Andrew Kirschner 119
