Nut

Taking its name from the Valencian word for ‘knot’,
NUT was created by the fabulous Marivi Calvo and Ray

Power to answer the question: “Can it be done?” The
answer as you can see is a resounding “Si!” Twisting the
delicate veneer of light into a thing of beauty, is at once
intriguing as it is an object of desire. It needs us to love it

and strangely we do.

Domo

The seventies, a great decade for the invention of dome
shaped objects, like the transparent dome umbrella,
the dome hat with those round orange sunglasses

incorporated into it; but what we most cherish from this
decade is the dome of silence from the TV series Get
Smart. When Rqr Estudio presented us the design, we
just had to have it, in memory of agent 86.

Asterisco

Is it an incredibly groovy song by Omar Salgado, or perhaps
the typographical symbol named for its resemblance to a
star? We shake our heads and say ‘Neither’. Designed by
Cuatro Cuatros, Asterisco is a very funky table lamp that

raises important aesthetic questions about balance, and the
way that life-giving electricity is fed through a red umbilical

cord. Philosophy and light collide with surprising results.
