BALDOCK TOWN CC COLTS

After last year, we are all hoping for a full year of junior cricket this time
around.

Our Under 10's will be looking to have a successful second year of league
cricket after a very promising 2020 when they won all of the games they
played. Thanks go to Adam Rowland who is managing the team this year.

The Under 12's now play hardball cricket and they learned a lot in the
games they played last year, mainly against very strong Letchworth and
Hitchin teams. With that experience, hopes are high that lessons learned
will translate into wins.

In addition, we also have a new Under 9 team who will be playing non-
competitive games in the Hertfordshire Junior League. The focus this year
will be firmly on getting out of the park and having fun, with the aim that
they develop a love for the game they will hopefully retain as they get
older.

All the players playing league cricket started with us by attending All Stars
Cricket, and this will continue after the sad cancellation last season. We aim
to have another 30 children of 5-8 years of age taking part in eight sessions
from 6nd June at Avenue Park, and places are being booked fast!

A new initiative we are also running is Dynamos Cricket, which is for 8-11
year olds. This is being offered for girls only to help give a pathway post
All Stars who may not immediately want to play league cricket.
