During the school holidays, my family and visited my grandparents in Kedah. We hugged them hard when
we arrived.

After lunch, my grandfather showed us his paddy fields. Then, he told us od how rats and other pests ‘steal’

My grandfather grabbed a long pole with a net at the end and walked to some trees nearby. He said owls
were blind during the day, so this was the best time to catch them. My grandfather stood under a tree and
jabbed a nest. An owl fell into the net. Slowly he lowered the pole. In great fascination, we came face to face
with the owl. We even touched his feathers. Then, we took photos of the owl. After a while, my grandfather
released the bird.
