Buku cerita ini bertajuk Anak Burung Bangau Mendapati Kakinya
Berguna. Penerbit buku ini ialah Penerbit Arowana Sdn Bhd.
Penulis buku cerita ini ialah Sulaiman Zakaria. Buku ini ialah buku
cerita sains untuk kanak-kanak.

Dalam buku ini, saya mendapat beberapa fakta berikut: kaki
haiwan adalah bersesuaian dengan habitat dan persekitarannya.
Secara amnya kaki dibentuk untuk dijadikan alat yang efisien bagi
kehidupan haiwan tersebut.

Burung menggunakan kaki mereka untuk pelbagai aktiviti
selain berjalan. Kebanyakan burung menggunakan kaki untuk
mencari dan membawa makanan. Sesetengah burung, seperti
burung unta, berlari untuk menangkap makanan dan melarikan
diri daripada musuh. Burung seperti helang dan burung hantu
menggunakan kaki untuk membunuh mangsa. Kebanyakan
burung air, seperti itik, mempunyai kaki berselaput yang
digunakan untuk menggerakkan merka di dalam air. Burung
menggunakan kaki mereka sebagai spring semasa mula terbang
dan sebagai penyerap kejutan apabila berpijak.

Cicak boleh memanjat permukaan tegak yang licin seperti
kaca walaupun secara songsang. Ini disebabkan pada bahagian
bawah jari kaki terdapat pad pelekat.

Kaki kucing adalah bersesuaian dengan sifatnya yang suka
memburu mangsa. Pada kaki kucing terdapat kuku yang tajam
dan melengkung. Apabila tidak digunakan kuku itu disembunyikan
di dalam poket pelindung pada setiap kaki. Semasa mengintip
mangsa, kucing berjalan dengan senyap kerana tapak kaki
dilengkapkan dengan pad yang lembut. Kemudian, ia melompat ke
hadapan dengan lompatan yang pantas ke atas belakang mangsa.

Selepas membaca buku ini, saya sangat suka buku ini kerana
fakta-fakta disediakan setiap akhir cerita. Maklumat tambahan ini
dapat menambahkan ilmu pengetahuan sains saya. Marilah kita

dengan moral untuk kanak-kanak.

Dalam cerita ini burung hantu menangkap tikus itu dan mahu
memakannya. Tikus meminta burung hantu jangan memakannya.
Jika burung hantu melepaskan tikus, tikus berjanji akan
membawa lebih banyak tikus kepada burung hantu sebagai
ganjaran. Burung hantu menjawab kepada tikus bahawa ia tidak
akan melepaskan tikus kerana tikus ialah pembelot yang sanggup
menyelamatkan nyawa sendiri dengan mengorbankan nyawa
kawan-kawannya. Oleh itu, burung hantu pun menelan tikus itu.

Cerita ini memberitahu kita bahawa seorang pembelot tidak
layak menerima belas kasihan. Marilah kita bersama-sama
membaca buku cerita yang menarik ini.

Buku cerita ini bertajuk 52 Kisah Dongeng Terkenal. Penerbit buku
ini ialah Kohwai & Young. Penulis buku cerita ini ialah Anizah Anis
Sallihudin. Buku ini mempunyai 52 Kisah Dongeng Terkenal.

Daripada 52 cerita itu, saya paling suka cerita bertajuk Aladdin
dengan Pelita Ajaib.

Lama Dahulu, ada seorang budak Bernama Aladdin. Suatu hari,
dia bersetuju untuk menolong seorang ahli sihir mengambili pelita
di dalam gua. Ahli sihir itu telah memberi sebentuk cincin ajaib
kepada Aladdin.

Ahli sihir marah apabila Alddin enggan memberi pelita itu
kepadanya. Dia menutup lubang gua dengan batu besar. Aladdin
menggosok cincin ajaibnya dan Jin Cincin telah menghantarnya
pulang. Aladdin menggosok pelita pula. Jin Pelita telah menjadikan
dia kaya. Kemudian Aladdin jatuh cinta dengan puteri raja dan
berkahwin dengannya.

Suatu hari, ahli sihir menyamar menjadi penjual pelita dan
pergi ke istana Aladdin. Dia berteriak, “Pelita lama boleh ditukar
dengan pelita baru!”

Puteri tidak tahu pelita Aladdin adalah pelita Ajaib. Dia
menukarnya dengan pelita baru! Ahli sihir menyuruh Jin Pelita
membawa istana dan isteri Aladdin ke tempat yang juah.

Aladdin meminta pertolongan Jin Cincin dan dia berjaya
mengambil pelita ajaib daripada ahli sihir. Aladdin meminta Jin
Pelita menghantar ahli sihir ke tempat yang jauh. Dia juga
meminta istana dan isterinya dikembalikan. Mereka hidup
bahagia dan tidak lagi risau akan perbuatan ahli sihir.

Cerita ini memberitahu saya jangan menjadi seorang yang
tamak dalam kehidupan.

THE WISHING SPELL

This book named The Land of
Stories - The Wishing Spell. The

publisher is Little, Brown and Company. The author of this book is
Chris Colfer. It was the first book in the series which was
published on July 17, 2012.

A year and 9 months have gone by since twins Alex and Conner
Bailey suffered the tragic loss of their father. Their mother is
trying to balance her job and her family after her husband, John
Bailey, was killed in a car accident. On Alex and Conner's twelfth
birthday, their grandmother gives them a very old book from Alex
and Conner's childhood, which Alex later realizes mysteriously
glows, hums, and also that things disappear into it.

Against Conner's advice to throw the book away, Alex keeps
the book and eventually reaches into it. Conner barges in to stop
Alex from going into the book, but Alex loses her balance because
she was shocked and falls into the book. Conner jumps in as well
to go after Alex. They find out the book is a portal to the fairy-tale
world. There, they meet Froggy, a man turned into a frog. Froggy
gives them a journal that tells of the Wishing Spell, a spell that can
grant whatever wish the person wants if the person has eight
items.

To get back to their world, Alex and Conner must find the
items that they need to complete the Wishing Spell. But bad news
quickly follows. They later meet another person who was later
identified as the Huntsman's daughter. Alex and Conner realize
that the Huntsman's daughter is working for the Evil Queen to get
the Wishing Spell as well, and worse, since the Wishing Spell can
only be used twice, and the author of the journal about the
Wishing Spell had already used it once, it could be only used once
more, yet there are two contestants. The Evil Queen gets this
message from her magic mirror as well, so there begins a
desperate race to get the Wishing Spell. While they are getting the
ingredients for the Wishing spell, Alex and Conner come across
many tales that their father had once told them. After a while,
they have to face the conclusion that their father came from the
Fairytale World...

Finally, when Alex and Conner get all the items for the
Wishing Spell, the Evil Queen kidnaps them and takes the items,
and goes to her hiding place, in the north of the Sleeping Kingdom.
There, Conner tries to prevent the Evil Queen from using the
Wishing Spell by smashing the container of fairy tears, one of the
items needed in the Wishing Spell.

The Evil Queen tells them the story of where she came from.
When the Evil Queen was little, she was named Evly, and she was a
very kind and caring girl. She fell in love with a young boy named
Mira, but the Enchantress captured her and stopped her from
meeting him. Evly tried to send secret messages to Mira, but the
Enchantress found out and imprisoned Mira in a mirror. Evly later
killed the Enchantress, but she couldn't do anything to bring Mira
back until she found out about the Wishing Spell.

By then, Alex is in tears. The Evil Queen gets a few of Alex's
tears, puts it with the items of the Wishing Spell, and somehow the
Wishing Spell works! Mira is freed from the magic mirror, but he
was almost already dead. Just then the rescue team, led by Froggy,
arrived. Mira died in Evly's arms, and they are both swallowed up
by the mirror when it falls. In the fighting that follows, the
Huntsman and his daughter are killed, and Alex and Conner are
rescued.

Froggy is found to be the long-lost Prince Charlie from the
Charming Kingdom, and Alex and Conner learn that their
grandmother is the Fairy Godmother, who is capable of making
portals between the Otherworld and the fairy-tale world, and the
journal is written by the man who had completed the Wishing Spell
years before was written by their father.

Therefore, Alex and Conner are a part fairy. Alex and Conner
get back to their mother through a portal made by their
grandmother into the Otherworld after Cinderella's child's
christening.

This story captures me so much that I did not realise his eager
fingers thumbed page after page without even having the pause
when reading it. I amazingly absorbed every single detail of the
story like a sponge, especially the characters. It’s so hard to not
love this magical and interesting story.

THE WISHING CHAIR AGAIN

This book named The Wishing Chair Again written by Enid Blyton. It
was published by George Newnes.

It's the first day of the summer holidays and Peter and Mollie
are dying to go on more adventures with their Wishing-Chair. Peter
inadvertently asks to go to the land of "Goodness-Knows-Where",
but in the process of going there the Wishing-Chair is stolen. They
eventually get it back and a few days later, the Wishing-Chair only
grows three wings. They end up in the Land of Slipperies and when
Peter offends one of them, they retaliate by chopping all the
chair's wings off, so they get some ointment which grows the
wings back.

On the next rainy day, they inadvertedly grow wings on their
toys and the toys end up at Mr Grim's school where mischievous
brownies are sent. They befriend a brownie called Winks and
successfully get Mr Grim to relinquish the toys. Winks takes up
residence in Peter and Mollie's house and they take him on
adventures, but on the last day of the holidays, he is sent back to
Mr Grim's school for being too naughty.

I find this story interesting and fun to read and I wish I can
have adventures like these too. I recommend everyone to have a
read on this book.
