fine student-athletes the best of luck! YOU get to decide how many holes YOU want to play for
tournaments, play days and guest events – and YOU can

change your mind throughout the season

The 9 & 18-Hole Boards are proposing to update the
bylaws for the Rolling Hills Women’s Golf Association
(RHWGA). If you are in attendance at this year’s Closing
Luncheon on October 15th, you will be asked to vote for

or against these revised bylaws.

What is changing?
In a nutshell, the proposed bylaws intend to merge
the Women’s 18-hole and 9-hole leagues into one
organization, with one Board of Directors and one
budget. The membership categories within the RHWGA
(e.g., 18-hole, 9-hole, joint membership with 18-hole
primary, joint membership with 9-hole primary) would
be eliminated, and every member would pay the same
price in dues, as well as enjoying access to participate in

9-hole or 18-hole events, as she chooses.

From the General Manager

Greetings Rolling Hills Members and thanks for a great summer at the Club!

We had a slow start due to some unseasonably chilly weather, but as the summer progressed we
enjoyed our typical Colorado weather.

A big thanks to my team for a job well done, they spent countless hours committed to providing
our members and guests with memorable experiences. This was my first summer as your new
General Manager – WOW – what an action packed ride from start to finish!

Please allow me to share some of the highlights and the lessons learned that will help the team
and I plan for next summer.

• A new beginning for our Tennis program... Jamal and his team navigated through significant change this spring
and summer. The takeaways from this summer have provided our tennis team with a foundation for positive and
dynamic change as the program moves forward.

• The 4th of July tradition at Rolling Hills has always been a summer highlight, this year was no different. We made
some overall changes to this year’s festivities which received favorable comments from members and guests.
That being said, we learned a number of things that will need changing for next year’s 4th of July celebration.
Specifically our communication strategy.

• Golf continued its strong tradition of excellence...member play, tournament play, outside events, and my favorite –
junior golf! The team and I will continue to evaluate ways to enhance the overall golf experience for next summer.

• Our pool...as we continue moving toward creating a “resort style pool experience” I believe, based on member
comments, that we took a big step in the right direction this summer. Our new umbrellas, the cabana pool bar,
and improved F&B service all added to a better member experience. We already have some fun ideas for next
summer! More shade, enhanced poolside service, and a new plan for the enforcement of pool rules.

• A special thanks to our entire food and beverage team and special events! The team continued to knock it out of
the park, special events/programs for our members and guests, weddings, and our daily culinary options provided
more than a few reasons to come and enjoy your club.

• As my team and I reflect on the 2019 summer season, we will celebrate the victories, learn from our mistakes, and
develop a plan of action for next summer as we continue our journey toward improving member experiences on a
daily basis.
Thanks for your continued support!
Mike
