THE UNIQUE OF THAI CUISINE

Thai cuisines are extremely popular both in
the country and abroad on account of the
taste and appearance that bring about Thai
cuisine getting more popular all over the
world. However, what makes this kind of
food outstanding? What makes Thai cuisine
extremely extraordinary and different is the
flavour which is frequently complete with
sour, sweet, salty, and spicy along with fresh
herbs, seasoning and healthy traditional
ingredients all in one dish providing Thai
cuisine is a great dish for staying healthy. In
addition to the flavour and ingredients, Thai
cuisine is also outstanding in its elaborate
cooking process. For instance, there are a
variety of steps in making curry paste or
simmering ingredients to get the perfect
flavour. Moreover, high-class Thai cuisine is
mostly decorated with carved vegetables
making it much interesting. Accordingly, it is
unquestionable that Thai cuisine is full of
charm, taste and aroma.

MAIN INGREDIENTS
OF THAI CUISINE

As mentioned about the uniqueness of Thai cuisine and the reason
why Thai cuisine is popular, Thai food in one dish is frequently full
of flavours such as sour, salty, spicy, sweet, as well as aromas of
various herbs. Therefore, this indicates that most Thai cuisine has
the main ingredient, herbs. Most Thai cuisine, whether noodles,
soup and Thai-style fast food, require at least one herb to create a
unique flavour and aroma in that food. These herbs, in addition to
creating a pleasant aroma, also have nutrients and healing
properties. In addition to herbs, most Thai cuisine contains a wide
variety of vegetables for the reason that Thai cuisine is known as a
healthy food. This will be noticed that all kinds of Thai cuisine will
be packed with various kinds of vegetables on the same plate to
keep consumers healthy and full of delicious taste.

CULTURE Nowadays, in addition to well-known Thai
AFFECTING cuisines such as Tom Yum Kung and Pathai, other
THAI FOOD cuisines recently gaining popularity is “Thai food
in each region.” First, Isaan food tastes more
salty, spicy, and often without coconut milk. Most
Isaan people use Pla-Ra ( Fermented fish) to cook
almost every dish. Isaan people consume spicy
food because they want to stimulate their body's
energy.

Subsequently, the South’s food, which is bordered
by the sea, contains fish and seafood. Formerly,
the South was the commercial maritime hub of
Indian ships, so Southerners have many
distinctive and spicy spices.

Also, in food in the Central region, the flavour is
not as spicy as others. It contains coconut milk
mostly. Besides, the decoration of the dish often
consists of the art of carving vegetables
enhancing its beauty.

Lastly, the Northern food will not taste quite
spicy. Moreover, because the North is often cold,
most of the food contains fat to keep warm. This
indicates that culture and environment can have a
great effect on food and consumption behaviours.
To support it, Thai cuisine in each region needs
to be conserved and promoted more to gain much
attention.

WHY IS THAI CUISINE SO
POPULAR?

Every cuisine on earth has different
tastes and deliciousness with unique
and special local ingredients.
However, what made Thai cuisine so
popular among these different
nationalities ?Also, what makes Thai
cuisine one of the most delicious
foods among the best in the world?
Firstly, Thai cuisine is a dish that has
all the flavours, such as sour, sweet,
salty, all in one dish, allowing tasters
to experience the perfect and savoury
taste, unlike many countries' cuisine
that tend to have a distinctive or
consist of only one flavour or two
flavours in a dish. Secondly, Thailand
is a country that is rich in spices and
herbs, making it trouble-free to
create cuisine with unique aromas
and flavours. In addition to the smell,
it also has properties to soothe and
nourish health. Finally, the Thai
cuisine in each region is distinctly
different, giving the taster a different
taste, which is the charm of dining.

CHANGING THE FLAVOUR OF
ABROAD THAI CUISINE

ALSO, BECAUSE THAI FOOD HAS A COMPLICATED FLAVOUR AND
VARIOUS HERBS, IT IS HARD TO PRESENT THAI CUISINE
ABROAD. ABROAD THAI CUISINE FREQUENTLY DOES NOT
MAINTAIN THE UNIQUENESS OF THAI CUISINE, WHETHER THE
FLAVOUR THAT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED TO SUIT THE MAIN
TASTE OF EACH COUNTRY OR THE INGREDIENTS THAT CANNOT
BE FOUND. BECAUSE OF THIS, ABROAD THAI FOOD HAS A
VARIETY OF FLAVOURS AND MAY PREVENT THE FOODIE FROM
KNOWING THE ORIGINAL FLAVOUR. CURRENTLY, ABROAD THAI
CUISINE HAS BEEN MODIFIED, WHETHER DIRECTLY
IMPORTING RAW MATERIALS FROM THAILAND OR ADJUSTING
THE FLAVOUR CLOSER TO THE ORIGINAL WHICH ALLOWS
FOREIGNERS TO EXPERIENCE THE TASTE OF FOOD DIRECTLY,
AS WELL AS THAI PEOPLE IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES SO THAT
THEY CAN PERCEIVE THEIR HOMETOWN FEELING. ALL THESE
THINGS MAKE THAI CUISINE BECOME ONE OF THE BEST FOODS
IN THE WORLD. IN ORDER TO PRESERVE THAI CUISINE TO
CONTINUE WITH THE THAI PEOPLE, WE SHOULD ALL SUPPORT
AND CONSUME THAI CUISINE, HELPING TO SPREAD THE GOOD
IDENTITY OF THAI CUISINE TO THE WORLD.
