Erawan shiva mandir is highly revered because it is
sacred and this shrine is very old. Most of the people
who come to worship may not know the true history
of this shrine , so the organizer wants to spread it to
be known to the masses.

Introduction

Thao Mahaprom Shrine It is a Hindu shrine located in
front of Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, at Ratchaprasong
Intersection, Ratchadamri Road, Lumpini Subdistrict,
Pathumwan District, Bangkok. It is sacred, revered and
famous. from both Thais and foreigners by organizing
a tour group from abroad to pay homage to Thao
Maha Phrom

History

In 1951, Police General Pao Sriyanon, while serving as
the Director-General of the Police Department to build
the Erawan Hotel at Ratchaprasong Intersection To
accommodate foreign guests, it is said that during the
first construction there were many accidents. When
the construction was nearing completion, at the end of
1956, the United Hotels and Tourism Company
Limited, the hotel manager contacted Rear Admiral.
Luang Suwichanphaet (Ann Suwanphanu), Chief
Medical Officer of the Royal Thai Navy experts in the
matter of sitting in to find the auspicious day of the
hotel opening
Rear Admiral Luang Suwichanphaet protested that the
construction of the hotel had not been performed
before the sacred ceremony in that area. The
auspicious occasion for laying the hotel's foundation
stone was not correct. In addition, the name of the
hotel "Erawan" is the name of the royal elephant of
Indra. regarded as a sacred name A proper sacrifice is
required. The solution would be to seek blessings from
Brahma to help get rid of all obstacles. And the
Brahma Shrine must be built immediately after the
construction of the hotel is completed. and built a
shrine in the hotel [requires reference]

Therefore, the Brahma shrine was set up. The
designers of the shrine are Rawee Chomseree and
Mom Luang Pum Malakul. The image of Thao Maha

Phrom is made of gilded plaster. The designer and
sculptor was Chit Pim Kowit, the Craftsmanship
Division, the Fine Arts Department, and brought them
to be enshrined in front of the Erawan Hotel on
November 9, 1956.

Religious activities

On November 9, 2021 between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM on the
occasion of the 65th anniversary of the summoning of Thao
Mahaprom to be enshrined in front of the Erawan Hotel on
November 9, 1956, the Thai International Trade Fairs and
Festivals Association (TIEFA) together with the Ratchaprasong
Area Enterprises Association (RSTA) office Promote meetings
and exhibitions (TCEB) and Than Thao Mahaprom Foundation,
Erawan Hotel together set Worshiping and worshiping
ceremonies were held'Thao Maha Phrom' At this ceremony,
there was also a dance performed by famous actor Pancake
Khemanit Jamikorn amongst a large number of devoted people
attending the ceremony.
