The Orange Frog Book Definitions

The Orange Frog Book Definitions

The Orange Frog Book

Thrall- this is the thing that turned the frogs green. They were once very vibrant but
because of the thrall, they all turned green

Transition Week- this is the time where the tadpoles become frogs. They go from being
ordinary to choosing where they want to go

Deluge- the storm that would come every few years and was guaranteed to wipe out
anything the frogs had built so they had to start over

Herons- the predator of the frogs that only fly in during certain times of the year but they
don’t know when because a frog has never lived to tell about it

Green- this color is what is considered normal throughout the communities of frogs. This
is the color that most frogs have because of the thrall.

Orange- the color that brings the good in life like the flies and saves them from the herons.
This is the positive experiences that the frogs have that result to them turning orange
even though it is seen as negative first

Spark- he is the frog that is slightly orange when he transitions. He gets put into pond 4
where the herons are and at first finds it very hard to be orange. The other frogs around
him don’t want to hang out with him because of the fear that the herons will attack so he
isolates himself but then he realizes that he attracts many flies and opens up a shop. He
reflects that orange brings him good so he makes the decision of keeping that positive
mindset or vibes and turns completely orange.

Bull- the frog that wanted to go to Pond 1 because he was willing to put in the long hours
to live in the best pond. Bull was the frog after Misty started to turn orange because he
finally took Sparks' words into consideration.

Misty- the frog that wanted to go to pond 2 because that was the party pond and working
sounded dull to her. She is also the first frog to experience getting orange spots for doing
something good and feeling good about it.

Plop- wanted to go to Pond 3 because it sounded nice and it required a lot less energy.
Misty would go and give Plop flies and that is where she got her orange spots. Plop was the
one who took longer to turn orange because even after the rest of the frogs started to get
rid of their green.
