In this special edition of Cabinet Connections, the LSC-Tomball President’s Dr. Lee Ann Nutt

• The President’s Cabinet Web page is a good resource for you. Each member of PCAB has
a page that provides valuable information related to their area. Take a moment to visit and

• Available to Lone Star employees are the Employee Assistance Program benefits. This is a
confidential work-based program that assists and supports employees who are navigating
personal or work-related issues that may impact their job performance and mental well-being.
They offer counseling, assist in finding resources, and can help navigate work/life problems.

• To enhance our safety measures, faculty will be given badge access to
all general classrooms.

• Come get physical! The Fitness Center is available for employees to use.
You must fill out the application form, but there is no fee.

Interim Vice President, Student Success

• The goal of the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) is to promote
a safe college environment for all students and staff. BIT encourages
members of the campus community to communicate behaviors that are
concerning. BIT connects students with resources that can assist them. The
Behavioral Incident Report is designed to enable faculty, staff and students
to voluntarily communicate behaviors that may raise concerns. Incident Dr. Jackie Thomas

• The Early Alert System is an effort to help students get back on track academically. Our
goal is to promote academic success by connecting students to resources and to improve
students motivation. Both faculty and staff can find an Early Alert tile in their myLoneStar
portal through which they can make a referral.

• The Assessment Center at LSC-Tomball is located on the second floor Library building,
Room L201. We provide a variety of testing services for students, faculty and the community.
For more information about which exams we administer, LoneStar.edu/Testing-Tomball.
Tests may also be scheduled at the Creekside Center location.

• PLEASE NOTE:
• All testing fees must be paid before testing.
• No testing will begin within one hour of closing.
• It is the Examinee’s responsibility to arrive early enough to finish an exam.
• In order to protect the integrity of exams, photo identification is required.
• Examinee should not bring children to the testing center.

• The Extended Learning Center (ELC) provides academic resources to students. We offer
free tutoring in a variety of subjects, both face-to-face and virtual. We are available for
classroom visits and individual student appointments to work on academic skills.

• The Office of Student Life is now the Office of Student Engagement! The new name allows
our team to go beyond student organizations and sports teams to include seamless student
onboarding and offboarding experiences including, but not limited to, Wolf Pack Welcome,
Leadership Development, and Commencement. The Student Engagement team will continue
to offer our students numerous opportunities to get involved on campus which supports
their persistence. Please help us with our name change by directing students to the Office of
Student Engagement.

• ENGAGE! is three weeks of fun for students that replaces the one week of Welcome Week.
Watch for the ENGAGE! Weekly calendars around campus and online. All activities are
free for students. As you connect with your students before class, please encourage them to
participate in as many activities as they can. Here is a link to the ENGAGE! schedule.

Division of Strategy and Innovation

• Email Signatures: Lone Star College employees should use an Dr. Jackie Thomas
appropriate email signature to effectively and consistently carry the name
of the college to external audiences. The authorized format is below. [email protected]
Employees should limit their signature information to these fields. Use
of a personal cell phone number is optional. Other than the college
logo, an email signature should not contain quotations, slogans or
graphic elements, including personal links and social media icons. No
background screens should be used.

When using Lone Star College campus logos, use only one campus logo or the Lone Star
College logo. (Please note: Internal graphic elements including The Academy, LSCFocus, etc.
are acceptable.)

• Request System: To make a request, College Relations now uses the ServiceNow system.
You can find the Marketing Request tile in the Service Center. Just be sure to select ‘Tomball’
from the College dropdown menu. Please email [email protected] if
you have questions about or issues with the ticketing system.

• Room Scheduling: If you have an event you’d like to host on campus, please be
sure to make your Room Reservation Request at least 15 business in advance per the
campus event policies. Room Scheduling Coordinator, Sandra Moye is your contact
for room scheduling. Campus event policies can be found on the College Relations
webpage.
• Departmental Logos: If you have not received the most up-to-date version of
your department's secondary logo (with the state of Texas and the college name
listed as "LSC-Tomball"), you may request it be sent to you by sending an email to
[email protected].

Office of Administrative Services

• The LSC Department of Emergency Preparedness monitors threats
and vulnerabilities that may affect the Lone Star College community. For
resources offered by DEP, visit LoneStar.edu/Emergency-Preparedness.

• LSC provides updates through LSC email and text messages via the
LoneStarCollegeAlert system. All current LSC students and employees are
automatically opted-in to our emergency alert system with their Dr. Jerrel Wade

LoneStar.edu email address as the primary communication source. [email protected]

Personal contact information must be updated in myLoneStar to receive
emergency text messages or notifications to a personal email account. If you want to
receive emergency text messages to your cell phone, you MUST login to myLoneStar and
update your official student or employee personal information record with your cell phone
information.

• In the case of an on-campus police or medical emergency, dial 5911 from any campus
phone or 281.290.5911. In the case of a fire, emergency dial 911.

• A reminder to faculty: In the case that a classroom telephone is knocked off its cradle,
campus police will be dialed after a certain period of time.
