About
Richard Commins, 23, from Claregalway, launched his brand new app that allows users to hail and pay for a taxi without a phone, bank card or cash on them. 'Flag' requires users to upload a photo ID and a personal code to their account which is then linked to their debit or credit card. The idea for Flag evolved from a similar student taxi app called Dash, which Richie developed while in his final year of Business Information Studies at NUI Galway. Richie commins is now just one step away from landing the keys to a brand new taxed and insured Nissan to drive for a year having been named as one of 20 finalists put forward to the public voting stage of the competition. He was one of almost 1,000 people who applied to the innovative ambassador programme which helps people to follow their dream and to get ahead with the backing and support of Nissan.
