About
Laminated Glass is produced by sandwiching a layer of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) or a similar interlayer between two or more layers of glass. This process not only enhances safety by holding shattered glass pieces together but also provides additional benefits such as sound insulation and UV protection. In contrast, tempered glass undergoes a heat treatment process where it is heated to high temperatures and then rapidly cooled, making it stronger than standard glass and capable of withstanding impact and temperature fluctuations.
Here are some key differences between laminated glass and tempered glass:
* Safety: Laminated glass is ideal for safety-related applications as it remains intact even when broken, whereas tempered glass shatters into small, blunt pieces that reduce the risk of injury.
* Sound Insulation: Laminated glass excels in soundproofing due to the interlayer, making it suitable for areas requiring noise reduction. Tempered glass does not offer the same level of sound
