New Era University College Malaysia was formed in order to fulfil the Malaysian Chinese’s ambition to set up a community-funded tertiary institution. Its set up is the result of commitment and persistence by those who are concern about the society’s progress through education and culture. From 1998 to present, the Ministry of Higher Education has approved the upgrade to the New Era University College after 19 years in operation. It has recognised the contribution of New Era University College that has a campus of 8.5 acres land.

As a comprehensive university in teaching and research, our faculties emphasize importance of theory and practical aspect, which will definitely fulfil the employment market’s demand for graduates who can compete in the employment world. New Era University College has 3 main faculties and they are Arts & Social Sciences, Media & Creative Art and Business & Information Technology. These faculties offer 8 majors of studies in degree, master and PhD level.

In 2015, New Era University College has set up the Tan Lark Sye Research Institute to further strengthen the research in Chinese community. This has even further the research on Chinese in Southeast Asia that will able to connect to the world. Although New Era University College is still at the beginning stage but it will definitely look forward to compete with other reputable tertiary education in the near future. With the entire Chinese community’s support, we will continue to move forward to greater heights.
