Dr. Mohamad Amiruddin Bin Ismail is a Senior Lecturer in Design and Engineering at the Department of Engineering, Faculty of Technical and Vocational Education, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris. His research focuses on industrial design, including flying vehicles (VTOL), electric vehicles, high-speed trains, solar systems, automation design, magneto-rheological suspension systems, adaptive PID control systems, and automotive design.Dr. Amiruddin has professional experience working with a Japanese company located in Fujisawa, Japan. Among the notable projects he contributed to are the Shinkansen and the development of mechanical parts for laboratory systems. Additionally, in 2020, he played a key role in designing a VTOL flying vehicle for Terra Corp Japan. Dr. Amiruddin's specialties include hand sketching new ideas and designs, an area in which he actively contributes innovative concepts. In 2024, he served as a team member and reviewer for the AerosMalaysia Journal and SAE Int.
