An award-winning writer, Karen Pierce Gonzalez’s work has appeared in numerous traditional and digital platforms. Her chapbooks include Coyote in the Basket of My Ribs (Kelsay Books) and forthcoming: Down River with Li Po (Black Cat Poetry Press) and more.
An intuitive artist she focuses primarily on elements found in nature. To date, 60+ art works, including collages in City Companions, an award-winning hybrid 'Little Black Book competition' collaboration with poet Marcelle Newbold have appeared in numerous print and online publications. Six have premiered as cover art for publications such as The Chestnut Review, Feral: A Journal of Poetry and Art. She is also a 2022 National Arts Program (USA) feature artist, and her pieces have been shown in several Pacific West Coast galleries and museums.
