Since its chartering on June 6, 1999, the Phi Eta Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® has proudly served Scotch Plains and Greater Union County, New Jersey, in keeping with our Sorority’s purpose of providing ‘Service to All Mankind.’

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® is the first African American sorority founded on January 15,1908 on the campus of ​Howard University. The members of Phi Eta Omega chapter strive to meet our society's needs by fulfilling our Sorority’s commitment to sisterhood, scholarship and service.
