How many times have you seen a woman carrying a heavy purse on one shoulder? How many times have you seen a student carrying his or her backpack on one shoulder? You should always make heavy loads proportionate, and also make sure to limit the amount of time you have to carry them on a consistent basis.
Use pillows to prop up your baby and support your lower back while breastfeeding. If you do not sit properly in the right position while breastfeeding, it can lead to back pain. Also, use a comfortable back pad when breastfeeding.
Chronic muscle pain, such as back pain, can be caused by a vitamin D deficiency. To get your fair share of this vitamin, eat lots of small-boned fish, fortified milk and cereal. Also, be sure to get frequent exposure to sunlight and don't forget to use that sunscreen!
