WHERE DO WE GET FRESH WATER?
TWO MAIN SOURCES:
Surface Water and Ground water.
Water is brought to a treatment facility through underground pipes where it is treated and disinfected and then goes to distribution centers where it is piped to our homes.


The decision to find other options as a source of drinking water is usually based on people not liking the taste, odor or color of their tap water or as a back-up for the local water treatment systems.


FILTRATION VS TREATMENT

MECHANICAL FILTRATION
Removes particles suspended in the water through mechanical processes where water flows through porous materials that do not dissolve.
ACTIVATED CARBON FILTRATION
Water flows through an activated carbon surface that adsorbs some elements in water like chlorine, dissolved gases, and organic contaminants.

The water goes into the first chamber and then it is pressure-driven to the second chamber leaving contaminants behind.


TREATMENT OPTIONS
ULTRA VIOLET TREATMENT
Water flows in very thin layers and passes by UV lamps creating a bacteria elimination effect similar to that of the sun’s rays.
OZONE DISINFECTANT
Ozone is made by passing oxygen through ultraviolet light or a “cold” electrical discharge.
CHEMICAL TREATMENT
These processes kill the contaminants, but do not remove them from water.

EM Pre-filter Media Insert
Aqua✓HDTM Media Insert
• The EM Pre-Filter cartridge and the Aqua✓HDTM main filter cartridge consist of 2 parts: Reusable Housing and the replaceable Media Inserts.
• The media inserts in the EM Pre-Filter and in the Aqua✓ HDTM Main Filter are not necessarily replaced at the same time.
• With proper care, the reusable housing should last several years.
NOTE: Be sure to wear protective gloves when handing the cartridges.

• May become blocked over time and result in decreased water flow.
• It can be back-flushed up to 3 times to flush out built-up sediment and particles and restore efficiency.
• Replace the EM Pre-filter media insert with a new one after the third back-flush.
• Rinse the EM media insert to clean it regularly.

MAIN FILTER MEDIA REPLACEMENT
• Open reusable housing and rinse when replacing the media insert.
• The used media insert should be discarded.
IMPORTANT: The Aqua✓Nano HD Main Filter Cartridge should NEVER be back-flushed.

CHARGING THE SYSTEM
Always “charge” after installing,back- flushing or replacing the media inserts
1 Remove the Inlet Assembly and the Pre-Filter cartridge from the top of main Filter cartridge.
2 Pour water into the top
hole to fill the Aqua✓HDTM main Filter cartridge.
3 Re-install the Pre-Filter and again pour water into the top hole of Pre-Filter Cartridge until it is full; reconnect the Inlet Assembly.

BATTERIES
•Before installing the unit, insert two fresh, high quality AA batteries (not included) in the base.
•Replace batteries as needed.


WARRANTY
1-year limited warranty. Warranty does not cover cartridges or normal wear and tear of valving connections, o-rings, rubber or plastic parts.

REFERENCES
1. The particles removed by the Aqua ✓ Nano are not necessarily in your tap water. The Aqua ✓ Nano is intended for use only with municipally treated tap water. Water of unknown origin can contain a variety of particles or substances that may or may not be removed by the Aqua ✓ Nano. The Aqua ✓ Nano has not been tested for the removal of arsenic.
2. Actual capacity will depend on the amount of suspended solids and particles in your local water system. In certain water supplies, tastes or odors may return or the flow may decrease prior to the rated capacity. In these cases, the media insert in the Aqua√HDTM Cartridge should be replaced more often. For optimum performance we recommend replacing the Aqua√HDTM media insert at least every 5 years even if the red light has not yet come on.
