Peter and Jane had a letter from Ron after he'd
gone back to his cwn home to live with his father.
It was a long letter and they were glad to find it was
a happy one. From his letter it seemed that all his
worries had disappeared.
He wrote about the days when he was hiding
the island. Jane read out part of the letter
Peter -
''I was most frightened the day the helicopter
came. It came down so low over me I was afraid it
might land on top of me. The noise made me even
more frightened. For a while I thought that the
Police were in the helicopter. I didn't know what
the little parachute was at first. I'd never seen
anyone send a message like that before. It was kind
of your uncle to write the message. Perhaps he'Il
let me hav e a ride in his helicopter one day. I hope
to see you all when I come on holid ay."
"We should send this letter to LJncle, " said
Peter . "He was very interested in the missing boy
on the island. He'11 be pleased to know it all ended
happily."
