1 Press and hold down the Power button for 1 second or more until the Shut Down..

Removing Media Jams

3 Move the carriage manually when it is out of its normal park position.
Remove the carriage from the paper, and do not move it stops.

4 Lift the release lever.

5 Hold the left and right corners of the jammed media and pull the sheet forward, then
along the cutter groove wall (a) use a cutter or a pair of scissors to cut off the edge
of the printed area or where the media is wrinkled.

Visually inspect the interior to make sure that no pieces of the sheet remain in the printer.

6 Move the carriage manually when it is out of its normal park position.

7 While gently pulling the roll media out to the ejection guide (b) by holding the center
of the roll media ends, load the right end of the roll media in line with the paper
alignment line on the right (c), and then lower the release lever.

Important
z Do not pull strongly on the roll media when you align it with the paper alignment line. The roll media
may not feed out straight in some cases.

8 Close the top cover.

9 If the printer is off, press the Power button to switch the printer on.

The printer starts to prepare to feed roll media after the printer is switched on, and when this
preparation is finished, the printer is ready to print.

2 Open the top cover. If the carriage is out, manually move the carriage holding either
the left or right edge, and then raise the release lever.

3 If the sheet is visible, pull the jammed sheet forward gently.

4 If the sheet is not visible, remove the jammed sheet from the bottom of the printer.

Visually inspect the interior to make sure that no pieces of the sheet remain in the printer.

5 If the carriage is at the left end, manually move it to the right end.

7 Insert the cut sheets in parallel into the gap in the paperweight with the printing
surface of the sheets facing up. Load the sheets aligned with the right paper
alignment line (a) and the back paper alignment line (b), and then lower the release
lever.

When the cut sheets are inserted, the printer holds the paper on the platen using suction.

8 Close the top cover.

Cut sheet preparation begins. When preparation is finished, the printer is ready to print.
