Edgar Everett Goodno – Matthew Robb. Lots of Southwest Florida history centered on the life of Goodno. Also
traces his history before moving to Florida. He was a “mover & shaker“, having a town named after him & an important
founder/developer of Labelle. Probably only interesting for Southwest Floridians. ***
Citizens Of The Green Room – Mark Leibovich. For political groupies. Synopsis of various politicians from Glenn Beck
& Dick Cheny to Ted Kennedy & Barack Obama, plus about 20 others ****
Stonewalled – Sharyl Attikson. This book will raise your blood pressure. Author is an investigative reporter who worked
for CBS for 20 years and was nominated for many Emmys for her reporting. She reveals how her stories were “modified”
or not reported by CBS – some not reported were nominated for Emmys. She posted them on the CBS website on the In-
ternet. What you get on network news is often not the truth! *****
Code Name: Johnny Walker – Johnny Walker/Jim DeFelice. Iraqi man who worked with American Navy SEALS in Iraq
as an integrator. He was able to ID many high value Al Qaeda people through integrating them. Was given residence for his
family in the US as the war wound down. ****
Brando’s Smile – Susan Mizruchi. A must read for Brando fans about his life from very early on. Reviews all of his movies
& personal life. Lots of famous names and tales about their relations with Brando. ***
Angry Optimist – Lisa Rogak. The life & times of Jon Stewart. A biography of Jon Stewart leading up to “The Daily Show”
and mostly covering his time on that show. Some interesting items about his personal life, Steven Colbert & many of guests
on the show. **
Being Mortal – Atul Gawande. Author is a surgeon & professor at Harvard Medical School. This book is all about end of
life decisions using many different case histories including his father. He supports not prolonging life if it is a miserable,
painful, existence. ****
Becoming Richard Pryor – Scott Saul. Biography of Pryor’s life, much of it pretty dark with drugs, self indulgence.
****
Diary of a Mad Diva – Joan Rivers. An in your face, crude & lewd (my kind of story) jokes & tales about her life. If you
like rude & crude you’ll love this book & laugh a lot. ****
When Will Heaven Begin? – Ally Breedlove. Ben Breedlove’s story written by his sister. He was born with HCM, a heart
condition with no cure, usually resulting in sudden death in teen years. He had out of body, near death visions at age 4 &
again as a teen as his heart stopped. After reading all the book reviews touting this book, I found it a disappointment. *

Selling the Sandoval Dream –
Achieving Success in Life and Real Estate
Written by sponsor A.J. Ackerman
Selling the Dream vs. Selling a House to success. In the next article, we will provide three specific
questions to ask yourself before deciding to sell the dream.

house. Wow, it just sounds different.
Believing in your success,
Selling the dream is a mindset. Do you remember: AJ
• What it felt like driving through the Sandoval gates for
the first time?
• What you experienced driving through the resort style
community and seeing all the beautiful trees, lakes,
homes and amenities?
• How excited you felt driving up to the clubhouse and
community pool for the first time?
• When you would visualize yourself, family and friends
enjoying a relaxing day at the pool, using one of the
many recreational facilities, or walking your dog?
What were the most important reasons you bought your San-
doval dream? Remember to focus on those reasons when
selling the dream and recreate that experience for the next
owner.
Now think about selling a house. Not very exciting is it?
The selling the dream mindset is so important because buyers
typically make decisions based on emotion. This mindset will
allow you to connect with buyers on an emotional level. We
believe this mindset will also help make selling the dream
swift, enjoyable and allow you more confidence in the selling
price.
Next month we will be sharing the 1st step on how to be suc-
cessful in life and in real estate; Vision. Have a clear vision

How Long Does Chest Pain Related to a Heart At-
tack Last?
Aside from what the chest pain feels like, you should pay at-
tention to how long the pain lasts. Chest pain related to a heart
attack usually occurs over several minutes, not suddenly. Se-
vere pain that comes on suddenly may be something else se-
rious, but it’s not consistent with a heart attack. Heart chest
pain almost always lasts at least five minutes, and doesn’t
continuously last more than twenty to thirty minutes. Finally,
pain that comes on at rest or exertion that doesn’t go away
with rest is more serious and more indicative of a heart at-
tack.
This is not to say pain that comes and goes isn’t worrisome;
it’s just not consistent with a heart attack. Pain that comes on
after exercise but consistently goes away with rest may rep-
resent a narrowing of the blood vessels that supply blood to
the heart. That could lead to a heart attack, but it isn’t an
emergency unless it doesn’t go away after five minutes of
rest.

Cork and Barrel
15880 San Carlos Blvd #110, Fort Myers
(239) 208-8889
The Cork and Barrel, a wine and tapas restaurant in Ft Myers, recently invited
a group of Sandoval residents for one of our monthly reviews. And we have
residents Dan & Terry Wilensky to thank. After running in to them one Sat-
urday at Cork and Barrel, and finding out how much they enjoy it, owner Dick
Howard was more than willing to host our group. What a special treat! We arrived
by limo bus, thanks to
resident JP Morgan and
his party bus. Once
there, we were promptly
seated, beverages were
enjoyed and the delica-
cies began to arrive. For
those who are not famil-
iar with tapas, it is small
portions meant to be
shared. And they just
kept coming!
We were treated to a variety of items from
the menu.
And let’s not forget the desserts! If you are
a fan of peanut butter, they have a dessert
that is pure heaven! There was not one per-
son who left hungry! We considered walk-
ing home, but that was a fleeting thought,
lol.
COMMENTS FROM THE CROWD:
Cork and Barrel earned 2 thumbs up from Sandoval Living! Make sure
you try it as soon as you can. Don’t be surprised if you see us there!

background (table cloth, napkin, plate, etc) tilt the glass at a Maurice
45 degree angle and check for clarity and color. Good wine
should never be cloudy or hazy. Colors for white wines may
range from almost clear to a light green tinge, straw and gold
to amber. Reds may range from purple to ruby, garnet, brick
and dark amber.
SWIRL: Moving the glass in small circular motions about
8-10 times releases the aromatic compounds, making it easier
to detect the bouquet (aromas unique to the particular grape
variety.) Observe the legs (streaks running down the insides
of the glass), more legs indicate higher alcohol and glycerol
levels, less legs indicate lower sugar and alcohol.
SMELL: Place your nose inside the glass rim and take 2-3
sharp sniffs to detect aromas. White wine aromas include
white, yellow or orange-fleshed fruits; reds evoke red and
dark fruits. Barrel aging will produce hints of vanilla, spice,
smoke and wood.
SIP: Take a small sip and swish it around so the wine makes
contact with every part of your mouth (lips, gums, palate and
inner cheeks.)
