RULES AND REGULATIONS (ONLINE)

 Students must have an appropriate profile picture for their school email account
 Students must actively turn on their microphone when needed to respond to questions or

ask questions
 Students are required to turn on their webcam/camera when needed
 Students should always be punctual for the orientation programme
 Students must use their school email account given to them to join the orientation

programme
 Throughout the orientation programme, students must not focus on other online

activities (eg. Facebook, Instagram,YouTube etc)
 Should students be unable to open their microphones, students should still actively

participate via Google Meet’s chat.
 In case of any emergencies, always inform your group leader

The Mascot of Orientation Programme 2022

The main symbols that depict the horse are courage and freedom. This majestic
animal is a being of power, independence, freedom, nobleness, endurance,
confidence, triumph, heroism, and competition. Moreover, the horse is also the
mascot of SMK Chung Hua Miri, showing students its good traits and
motivating them to move forward, succeed in life, and become the best version
they can become. Horses are also known for providing the first means of fast travel.
This sped up migration, trade, and communication between cultures. They helped
languages and cultures spread around the world. They helped people do work, from
plowing fields to hauling goods. Thus, during the olden days, horses have been
valued heavily by humans. Even till this very day, horses have never lost their
values and are very appreciated by humans.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear beloved students,
I would like to welcome each and every one of you to SMK Chung Hua (CF) Miri, where excellence is strived

for and dreams are accomplished. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all you for choosing and believing
in this school as your secondary school. This 3-day Orientation Programme is designed to help new students adapt
to secondary school life here in SMK Chung Hua (CF) Miri.

SMK Chung Hua (CF) Miri is indeed one of the best schools not only in Miri, but in Sarawak. We strive to
bring out the best in each student, producing students who not only excel academically, but also in their co-
curriculum. Our school brings up well rounded leaders with good characters and skills. The teachers in SMK Chung
Hua (CF) Miri are well trained and highly qualified. All classrooms are equipped with excellent facilities that are
ensured to create a conductive, comfortable and pleasant learning experience.

The slogan for this year’s Orientation Programme is “Innovative Technology, Accomplishing Our Dreams”. As
the technological advancement of the 21st Century is constantly evolving and improving, we encourage our students
to embrace the innovation of technology. We encourage our students to not only work hard, but also work smart in
accomplishing their dreams. To achieve this, the school has taken proactive measures to upgrade all the classrooms
with ICT facilities. The school has also incorporated various features to ensure smart learning amongst our students.

Lastly, I would like to thank you for having faith in SMK Chung Hua (CF) Miri to be your secondary school.
We take pride in providing students with a holistic secondary school experience by delivering high quality training

First and foremost, I would like to offer you all my warmest welcome to SMK Chung Hua (CF) Miri, a wonderful place

where you can be associated with many amazing people, build a stronger you and achieve your aspirations.
We are very grateful to you all for choosing our beloved school to further your studies. I assure you that SMK Chung

Hua (CF) Miri is definitely a great and wise choice which you will not regret. With adequate facilities and outstanding teachers,
the school provides an excellent platform for students to realize their talents, develop useful skills and enhance them in order for
them to embark on their journey to a bright future. Our goal is to allow our fellow students to blossom into well-rounded and
confident individuals who are capable of being intelligent and reliable when they step out into modern society where challenges
are to be met.

The theme for this year’s Orientation Programme is “5G” while our slogan is “Innovative Technology, Accomplishing
Our Dreams”, given the importance of technology today. Our mascot is the horse which symbolizes courage, independence
and confidence. Throughout history, horses have demonstrated impeccable abilities of incredible range. Therefore, we believe
that as students, we should strive and flourish just like the horse and become capable individuals of great value. We trust that,
hard work and perseverance will bear fruits. We believe mistakes are crucial to allow one to evolve and improve. As long as
we don’t allow our mistakes to define us, we will prosper.

especially different from the past years as it is conducted online. Organising and preparing for this programme has truly been
a challenge for us as it has never been done before, so we sincerely hope it will be to your satisfactory. We hope that the

PERATURAN-PERATURAN SMK CHUNG HUA MIRI

Selain peraturan biasa Kementerian / Jabatan Pelajaran, semua pelajar di SMK Chung Hua, Miri
mestilah mematuhi peraturan-peraturan berikut. Sesiapa yang melanggar peraturan ini akan
dihukum termasuk digantung atau disingkirkan dari sekolah dengan serta-merta

1. Para pelajar mesti menghadiri semua kelas pembelajaran dan menyertai kegiatan
kokurikulum/sukan yang ditetapkan oleh sekolah. Para pelajar dilarang menyertai kegiatan /
kokurikulum luar kecuali ada kebenaran bertulis daripada Pengetua .

2. Para pelajar memakai pakaian seragam sekolah yang sesuai, bersih dan kemas termasuk
kasut putih , stoking putih dan tag nama. Hanya baju yang berwarna putih dan berlengan
pendek dibenarkan dan mesti dimasukkan ke dalam. Baju–T sekolah boleh dipakai semasa
menghadiri aktiviti kokurikulum, pendidikan jasmani atau perkhidmatan kemasyarakatan .
Atlit-atlit dibenarkan memakai kasut sukan semasa musim sukan .

3. (a) Para pelajar tidak dibenarkan memakai sebarang perhiasan termasuk cincin ,
antinganting , rantai leher ,reben dan gelang ke sekolah .
(b) Rambut mesti bersih , pendek dan kemas . Gaya rambut yang ganjil termasuk gaya
“ punk” atau sebarang keterlaluan tidak dibenarkan .Mewarnakan rambut juga tidak
dibenarkan.

4. Para pelajar tidak dibenarkan merokok, berjudi , mencuri, meminum minuman keras , terlibat
dalam sebarang bentuk penyalahgunaan dadah termasuk menghidu gam atau bahan-bahan
yang serupa ,memiliki sebarang senjata yang dianggap berbahaya oleh pihak sekolah atau
berada di tempat-tempat yang kurang sesuai untuk mereka , termasuk kelab karaoke, pub
dan lain-lain .

5. Para pelajar tidak dibenarkan terlibat dalam perbuatan mengugut , mengancam atau
berlawan dengan pelajar lain , guru atau kakitangan sekolah , memiliki sebarang bahan lucah .
Para pelajar tidak dibenarkan membawa sebarang bentuk barangan elektronik ( kecuali
kalkulator ) tanpa kebenaran sekolah.

6. Pembinasaan sebarang harta benda sekolah , menconteng dinding , kerusi atau meja ,
mempunyai atau menggunakan “ blanco” tidak dibenarkan. Gula gam juga diharamkan.

7. (a) Para pelajar mesti berusaha menyelesaikan dengan sempurna semua kerja dan kerja
rumah yng diarahkan oleh guru tepat pada masanya .
(b) Para pelajar dihendaki membayar yuran-yuran termasuk yuran pembangunan sekolah ,
yuran khas dan yuran-yuran lain tepat pada masanya .

8. Para pelajar tidak dibenarkan memekik semasa berada dalam kawasan sekolah dan tidak
dibenarkan membuat bising dalam kelas.

9. Para pelajar tidak dibenarkan untuk cuba meniru/menipu semasa ujian /peperiksaan.
10. Para pelajar tidak dibenarkan membuang sampah di merata tempat.
11. Para pelajar mesti menghormati semua guru dan kakitangan sekolah sama ada di dalam atau

di luar kawasan sekolah dan mesti menurut semua arahan guru dan pengawas yang bertugas
sepanjang masa.
