Associate Professor Dr Shanti Faridah Salleh
We welcome international students to undertake undergraduate and
postgraduate studies at UNIMAS. We are proud to present the varieties
of short term study programmes offers for international students who
wants to experience UNIMAS for one or two semesters here.
Similarly, our own students are also provided opportunities to pursue
study abroad programme at partner universities. This is a great way
to expand students’ academic experience and expand their horizon.
Enquiries from potential students, delegations and beneficial
partnerships with educational and research institutions are most
welcome.
This guidebook is written to provide information either to UNIMAS
students on matters such as type of mobility programmes offered in
UNIMAS, application process and financial assistance available.
6
Mobility programme is conducted to enhance the students learning experience
by exposing them to the cultural, economic, political, educational and ecological
aspects of other countries to develop global mindsets for career advancement and
success in any environment.
UNIMAS students will be sent to the institution of their choice (outbound) and
international students from other institutions from other countries or within the
country may also come to experience UNIMAS (inbound). For university that has
MOU/MOA, their students may be waived from paying tuition fees, accommodations
etc. according to the written agreement.
There are two modes of mobility programme; physical and virtual mode due to
some unforeseen events such as pandemic or natural disasters, students sometimes
are unable to be physically present at the host institutions for both inbound and
outbound mobility programmes. To allow the mobility programmes to be carried
out, a virtual mobility may be done in replace of the physical mobility programmes
subject to the terms and conditions set by both the host and the partner institutions.
