Ms Aditi Misra Delhi Public School, Sector 45, Gurgaon was instituted in the year
Principal 2002 by Ms. Dhara Jaipuria and Mr. Ravi Jaipuria, in the loving
memory of an exceptional human being Smt. Mala Jaipuria with a
Ms. Santvna Thadani vision to create an environment for imparting holistic education and
Vice Principal to inculcate a sense of discipline and values amongst students. The
school caters to the educational and co-curricular needs of 6000+
Ms. Sapna Dhawan students. Under the dynamic leadership of the Principal, Ms. Aditi

Gurugram and the Junior, Middle and Senior Wing at Sector - 45
Gurugram. The medium of instruction for all subjects is English
except Hindi and II Language. DPS Gurgaon is an inclusive, child-

PROGRAMMES AND CLUBS

The curriculum is interwoven with co-scholastic activities, which enhance the creative, scientific and artistic
skills of the students

The Global Leadership Programme (tGELF) - This programme aims at identifying and nurturing young
leaders from all spheres of life. The programme concentrates on developing individuals who are positive,
responsible, committed, passionate and sensitive team players with global outlook.

Duke of Edinburgh Programme- International Award for Young People- This programme consists of three
levels- Bronze, Silver and Gold. For each level the participants have to complete the requirements of four
sessions- Community Service, Adventure, Creative Skills and Physical Recreation.

INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage)- This programme works in the field of
heritage conservation.

Team Shiksha Kendra- This programme aims to incorporate co-scholastic activities in the curriculum of
Shiksha Kendra. The team Shiksha Kendra teaches skills like music, art, dance, public speaking and
dramatics to the students.

Interact Club- It is a community outreach programme, which is sponsored by the Rotary Club. Meaningful
activities are taken up which provide an opportunity to develop leadership skills among the students.

MUN- This programme provides the students with an interactive learning experience to make them aware of
global issues and to encourage them to develop various skills such as research, presentation, public speaking
conflict resolution compromise and cooperation.

NODE- This is an IT club which involves graphic designing, software development robotics and video
editing to name a few.

SQUAD- This club provides a platform that helps nurture the competitive spirit among students by holding
debates and quiz.

View Finders- This is a photography club which promotes and inculcates love for visual arts in digital sphere
be it photography, video editing, script writing, cinematography to pre and post production.

Peer Education Programme- Peer Educators from classes IX to XII establish meaningful contact with their
peers and juniors with a definite purpose of directing their thought processes towards a discipline life,
meeting challenges effectively and making informed decisions.

The student body is empowered and manages multiple societies like TEDx, Health Council, Allotropes
(Chemistry Club), Red Shift (Physics Club), Pulse (Biology Club), Kaizen (Commerce Club) Dharohar
(Social Science Club), Pi SQUAD (Mathematics Club), As You Like It (English Club), Yuvrang (Hindi
Club) and the Editorial Board under the supervision of teacher coordinators.

The students also participate in International Competitions related to Art, Music, Dance and Competitive
Standardized Examinations, such as ACER, ASSET and Olympiads.

STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAMMES
Student exchange programmes provide students with an opportunity to emerge as global citizens by
experiencing the diverse culture and traditions of another country. Delhi Public School, Gurgaon has
collaborated with schools in UK, Germany, France and Poland for short term exchange programmes. Students
from classes IX-XI are eligible for the same.

RANKS

According to the evaluation system as formulated by CBSE the school follows a no ranking policy. No rank is
awarded to the students.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
Scholastic Evaluation is based on a systematic pattern of Assessments. Student learning is tested through
weekly assessments and two Term Examinations. Formal examinations are introduced from Grade VI.

Grade IX has four rounds of weekly assessments and two Term Examinations.

Grade X and XII have three rounds of weekly assessments, Mid Term Examination, First Term Examination
and two Pre Board Examinations. The board examination is held in the month of March.

Grade XI has three rounds of weekly assessments and two Term Examinations.

The academic result is in form of marks obtained per subject.

CLASS SIZE
The class size is limited to the ratio of 1:40.The graduating batch of the session 2018-19 has 335 students
inclusive of all the streams offered.
